So was Mike's firing a surprise to him?

If it was why would they fire our coach like this? Is he a criminal? oh is it because other teams do this and ... then its ok.

Have you ever been fired like this? Do you think its a professional thing to do especially if you had been somewhere for what 13 years?

I thought the packers organization was a professional outfit.

I dont know the full story - I just hope it was handled professionally.

And MM still gets paid, a LOT of money even though he lost his job.

We've been getting a ton of help every week. It's like only 2 teams in the NFC actually want to make the playoffs. Every other team is actively trying to give us their spot and we keep reaching out and swatting it away saying we don't want the spot either.

Being held in your position for weeks when you know you're going to be fired out of "respect" and to be sat in front of cameras being asked constantly if you're worried about your job, and the entire thing costing you money. Gee whiz I'm sure McCarthy's super offended he lost his job in the middle of the season as opposed to having this process drawn out for weeks and weeks for no reason.

It became abundantly clear in the first two minutes of Sunday’s game against the Falcons that red-flag happy interim coach Joe Philbin won’t be a viable candidate for the full-time coaching gig in Green Bay. So what will the Packers do?

Let's see what Philbin does against the Bears. It was so nice to have a game that felt easy. As I said in the chat, it was nice to put the boots to the Falcons due to our recent disappointments against them. That being said the Falcons are a bad team this year. Let's light the Bears up like that and perhaps Philbin does have a potential HC job here.

Philbin was right to challenge both of those. Not his fault the refs got 2 calls wrong in the first 3 plays and then doubledowned on them by letting them stand. I'm actually impressed he had the balls to do it.
