They are special teams guys who dont have a chance in hell of being hired.

A lot of good Head Coaches were not off/def coordinators and it seems the most successful coordinators don't end up being good coaches. e.g. Wade Phillips, Norv Turner, Gregg Williams, etc.

Aaron would be calling the plays and presumably developing the offensive game plan.

He might have some major input...so what?

And lets say he was leading the charge and calling the plays....and lets say he was lights out...why not?!?! To be frank with you, I think he is the smartest guy on the premises anyway.

Mike Holmgren, previous job was 49ers OC
Mike McCarthy, previous job was 49ers OC

49ers don't have an OC so ... I have no freaking idea!

The 49ers don't currently have an OC, as their head coach Kyle Shanahan is their OC... but if they were to have one... who would it be? Maybe Matt LaFleur who is the current Titans OC...

Why do I say that... because with the exception of 2014, Matt LaFleur has been on the same teams as Kyle Shanahan from 2008 to 2016 ... which include time together with the Texans, Redskins and Falcons. LaFleur was the QB coach with the Redskins and Falcons.

So what happened in 2014? Browns head coach Mike Pettine hired Kyle Shanahan to be OC, and someone hired Dowell Loggains as QB coach (while LaFleur was QB coach with Notre Dame). According to the reports, Browns ownership was trying to force rookie QB Johnny Football on the field and Shanahan tried to stop it as much as possible... Ownership finally won and got Johnny Football on the field and Shanahan (rightfully) left that ownership was doing the coaching. Which is why I wonder might be one reason Pettine never wants to be head coach again, because as he said, head coach is 90% management and he wants 90% to be about football. Shanahan/LaFleur would join back up with the Falcons and Loggains went on to coach under John Fox with the Bears.

But in 2017 both Shanahan and Sean McVay (who also worked with them with the Redskins) both got head coaching jobs... and LaFleur ended up as OC with the Rams (maybe because Shanahan wanted to be his own OC)... but McVay called the plays... and in 2018 LaFleur left for the Titans so that he could be top offensive guy and call the plays. The Titans offense has struggled, but I think that could be partly their lack of players talent... MM's 49ers offense also struggled.

Also maybe the Saints OC, because Mike McCarthy was the Saints OC before becoming the 49ers OC. Though Pete Carmichael Jr. has been the Saints OC for 10 years now... I'm not sure he wants to go anywhere.

Just adding onto the theories... and info.

I want Lincoln Riley and also bring his Qb from college. I would love to see the Packers run this type of offense, Rodgers could put up his numbers and claim to be the GOAT and we should win lol. He doesn't worry about defense which means we can stay the same there.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I don’t think a college coach is the answer

whoever they hire I hope the coach has the players practice outside in Nov/Dec twice a week instead of sticking the balls into a freezer and/or opening the doors in the Hutson Center. Let's get back to being a team from the north instead of a quasi dome team.

He's 5'10" and at QB, I'm not sure there's much hope for him in the NFL. Baseball is probably where he should go. Get a longer career, probably better post athlete life and of course guaranteed cash.

They should bring in Winston Moss.

buckeyepackfan (44m) : I forgot, they corrected the call a week later. Lol btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY dhazer!
buckeyepackfan (46m) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.
buckeyepackfan (51m) : Turnovers rule, win the turnover battle, win the game.
packerfanoutwest (52m) : well, he was
TheKanataThrilla (57m) : Eagles down by contact on the fumble....fuck you NFL
Mucky Tundra (1h) : I think this games over
beast (1h) : Eagles sure get a lot of fumbles on kickoffs
Mucky Tundra (2h) : This game looks too big for Washington
packerfanoutwest (5h) : that being said, The Ravens are the Browns
packerfanoutwest (5h) : Browns, Dolphins have longest AFC Championship droughts
packerfanoutwest (5h) : As of today, Cowboys have longest NFC Championship drought,
beast (16h) : Someone pointed out, with Raiders hiring Carroll, the division games between Carroll and Jim Harbaugh are back on (who can whine more games)
beast (21h) : I'm confused, Pete Carroll and Brian Schottenheimer? When Todd Monken, Joe Brady, Kellen Moore, Kliff Kingsbury and Zac Robinson are availab
Zero2Cool (23h) : Any reason I'm catching a shot here about my intelligence?
Martha Careful (25-Jan) : thank you Mucky for sticking up for me

Zero2Cool (24-Jan) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (24-Jan) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (24-Jan) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
wpr (22-Jan) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (22-Jan) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
