Do not want defelippo. That was a bust of a hire for MN. Riley, the saints and chiefs oc I would be intrigued with. Realistically I expect to hire someone that makes us all say wtf? Kind of like what happened with mm.

I agree with this; I was stunned about the McDaniels situation with Indianapolis, and it made me lose interest in him immediately. If he can't be trusted why would anyone want to interview him? More interestingly though, I think it's surprising that he was given such favorable odds as being our pick. The only reason I could come up with for him scorning the Colts is that he was promised the New England job after Bill is done there. And if that's the case, then I don't even see him applying for the job. I guess we'll see though.

It seems as though Belichick essentially talked McDaniels out of the Colts Head Coaching job, which he had already accepted. So it was super awkward when the Colts had already tweeted announcing his hiring, and then had to say nevermind. Everyone from Colts fans to McDaniels' agent were pretty pissed.

Even though everyone changes their minds sometimes, the whole scenario wrecked a lot of people's opinions of McDaniels. I thought it was pretty shady.

Honestly it all makes sense from his point of view, it's just that when you give someone your word and go back on it people get mad. I don't blame him for being unsure about things, but it was an ugly episode that made it tough for a lot of people to trust him. The way I see it, I'm not sure how I'd feel about hiring someone whose word I can't trust, even if they are an elite coaching talent. Again, it's tricky... who knows what'll happen though.

I'm OK with things only lasting a few years if it means he can help Rodgers win one more Super Bowl. The Packers can break up with him after and reset, as long as he gives a few really good years and makes the Packers competitors again before Rodgers retires.

Pretty sure McDaniels own agent dropped him as a client because of the ordeal. I think

Not sure why you dislike Riley KRK. I have actually been making an effort to tune into Oklahoma games as they are so fun to watch Offensively.

Sorry, yes I meant Lincoln Riley, but I dont want Lincoln Kennedy or Abraham Lincoln either....and yes they are fun to watch, but so is my church's flag football league...
1. The conference does not play defense...
2. Let see how the creativity works in the playoffs...against much better competition
3. They have a dominant offensive line, and especially given point 1, people have the tendency to think guys are running wide open because of play design vs. time to throw. If you have any decent QB that much time to throw, there are going to be guys wide open.
4. There are other guys who have done it longer and better in the college game, including Shaw and Harbaugh.
5. I think is especially important to have coached at the NFL level to command our locker room....including 12.
