Hoping for one of these scenarios:

1.) Chubb falls out of the top 5 and packers trade up for him
2.) Edmunds or Ward fall to 14
3.) One of the top qbs falls to 14 and we trade back for a kings ransom.

There will be a number of top prospects available. If Gute trades up, I will look at it as if he's just trying to impress Murphy.

I think a trade up from 14 would be too costly in that it would likely cost our 2nd round pick and the only player I would not mind seeing it done for would be Ward. Other than that I think moving up later in the draft, even back into the first would be great. I just don't want to come out of Thursday & Friday night with only 2 picks and I'd love to see 4 (I'd be OK with 2 if we could land Ward) I'll also be a bit disappointed if we end up drafting 12 players. I'd like to see Gute trade 4 or 5 late rounders to move up in rounds 2 and 3 if the right guys are there. I know they may not be worth much trade value wise but those comp picks and the #1 picks in the 4th and 5th should be enough to jump up a few spots to land certain guys.

I'm still gonna juggle these guys around a little. Then I'll also make a list of who I like in the first.

I didn't do special teams, because for the most part we're set there, but Gute needs to solidify the LONGSNAPPER position, once and for all. We need the new Rob Davis/Brett Goode replacement who is gonna go in there and be flawless for the next decade. This position was a dumpster fire last year. Get it fixed.

Overall, I don't think this team needs to reach for anything. BEST. PLAYER. AVAILABLE. We can take whatever falls to us. In fact, I'd like to trade back if possible. We can still get a top player, imo.

There's some good depth in this draft at CB, WR and RB.

statwhore

Ok, these are the guys I really like in the first. Since we pick at 14 (as it currently stands,) and there are 20 names on this list, we should have several options. In that case, Gute should look to trade back, still get one of these top level players: Saquon Barkley, Harold Landry, Bradley Chubb, Marcus Davenport, Tremaine Edmunds, Joshua Jackson, Denzel Ward, Israiah Oliver, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Derwin James, Calvin Ridley, Hayden Hurst, Leighton Vander Esch, Vita Vea, Da’ Ron Payne, Sam Darnold, Josh Allen, Josh Rosen, Mike McGlinchey, Quenton Nelson. That’s the order in which I would take them, my first round board.

That’s 20 guys. We should be able to drop back a few picks and still get someone on this list. As for Davenport, that’s a Mike Pettine call. You’re drafting guys for his defense. If Davenport has the skill set he’s looking for, go for it, if not, go elsewhere. Denzel Ward, too. He’s not as tall as these press corners that Pettine likes. Dude can ball though.

Here you go. Let me know if I fucked up anywhere, thanks!

I also count Tremaine Edmunds as an ILB (currently), though there is a lot of talk about him being an OLB... my problem with that talk, is that I can't find... and talking heads can't seem to find one video where he's ever pass rushed the edge against an OT. And while yes, he has all the physical traits to in theory be a good/great pass rushing OLB... it's hard for me to image, when you can't find a single video of it being done (yet). Though in theory, he could be a very good 3-4 OLB... of course... he's only 19 years old and possible has the greatest physical upside potential in the history of all LBers. Though he has problems in man coverage, so he might not ever reach his full potential... there are a ton of IFs with him.

I certainly don't have OLB Harold Landry or CB Joshua Jackson as the top at their positions. Though Jackson might have the highest ceiling of any of the CBs... he's still needs some working on some of the core basics of CBs... such as back pedaling... he's gotten away with horrible technique because he's such a great athlete... but in the pros it'll take both. And his technique is so poor, that I question how much he's willing to put into it, to learn good technique... of course... he was a WR not that long enough, but still.

How is the Beast not on your board at all? 😉 ... when he's the best FB every draft class 😂 and never gets drafted 👅
