I always thought they brought Bennett up to fast and into a role he was not ready for. I thought he did a good job with the WRs then to be made OC when no one really knew what the OCs responsibilities were.

Gonna be tough to come back with a reassignment (read demotion) but he may catch on somewhere else.

I think part of what held GB back a bit was their loyalty to their own and those with ties to the team. I get that those are the guys you know best but it eliminates a lot of potential candidates. Kind of like the talk about bringing back Philbin and McAdoo. They couldn't cut it at the next level which is no indicator that they can't be successful in a lesser role but are they being considered simply because they know the system and if that is the case how much will really change.

Edgar might be coming back. Alex choose to leave.

"Edgar's situation is still fluid. We're still in communication there. Alex Van Pelt was more a personal choice from a contractual standpoint. He desired to be a free agent after this season, so this is really a product of last year's negotiation. He wants to look at other opportunities," Mike McCarthy told WTMJ.

Bennett should have served as QB coach. Learn the position, then be OC.

This is arguably the second round of coordinators and assistants Mike McCarthy has run through, so if the team fails to make it over the hump with the new leadership platoon, McCarthy is the one who has to take the fall, surely? I have to think his leash is just that much shorter starting this season.

I think Adams has grown, but it's hard to tell how much, as the 1st year he didn't know the system 2nd year his ankle was badly banged up, 4th year he didn't have Rodgers... so every year has been a big difference.
