The Packers were rumored to have been interested in Darrelle Revis before he last signed with the Jets. We can skip the obligatory (if the deal is right) garbage because NO SHIT! hahaha.

If Packers don't even try signing him, I wouldn't be upset. I think he's over the hill and pretty clear age and injuries are catching him. That said, ProFootballFocus (for what thats worth) had him graded higher than any Packers CB other than Micah Hyde.

He might be a good addition to help the young CB's develop. Start him in Sam Shields spot and let the kids learn.

We won't have to worry about the salary numbers being good or not. Ted won't give him a call.

Woodson was roughly the same age when he was signed. People had given up on him too.

I'm not saying Revis is where Woodson was at or that he could have the same impact, just seems like some similarities.

Depends on the price :)

I didn't really pay attention to him the last couple years to know how much he has left in the tank. I don't believe he is anywhere near his prime anymore but he would need to be willing to take a short term reasonable contract. He is not a long term solution and we don't want to tie up future money on a band aid.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

HE got torched multiple times by sub-par receivers with speed last year. He was never the fastest corner, but had great technique and physicality in his corner. That's what kept him alive last year, but he's definitely lost a couple steps (I think it started when Jordy toasted him off that slant route in 2014) and it's all been down hill since. 😁

That said he's still better than anything we've got. If he comes cheap (with his ego that's unlikely) then I'd be for giving him a shot. However he's still got off the field incidents to deal with as well.

We don't (necessarily) need a "shut down" guy. We need a guy who can lead these younger guys, show them how to wear their socks, how to watch film, show up in meetings.

I'm all for picking up ANYONE that can actually help our lousy defense. I don't know what Revis has left, as I haven't been watching him.

Ted don't sign higher profile FAs. At least not until the very last moment at a barging basement price.

Go look at my post in another thread. I said I am in favor of DB help.

Dont want him. He's past his prime and will most likely have to serve a suspension next season. I'd rather throw our money at a corner like Gilmore.
