Recurring pattern: Aaron Rodgers, Packers' offense still out of sync

They have a valid point. Mike's teams NORMALLY don't start actually showing up until around week 10. Remember the SB year, when they players needed that "Come to Jesus" meeting?

Still, this is different than just normal disarray, and it has been going on since the bye week last year.

His most recent such game came in Week 6 of the past season, in an efficient, two-touchdown, no-interception win over the San Diego Chargers, and his most recent truly dominant stretch of football came in the second half of the Week 9 game last season at Carolina, even though that game ended in defeat. Playing what he described as “school-yard ball” after falling behind big that day, Rodgers nearly rallied the Packers with four touchdowns and 369 yards. Rodgers hasn't posted a 300-yard passing day since the week after the Carolina game, and that came in an ugly home loss to the Detroit Lions, who come to Lambeau Field on Sunday.

That's his problem.

He doesn't WANT to execute the offense. He wants to play sandlot ball.

Yep and the good defenses have him all but figured out. He needs to trust his guys and execute the offense.

Even teams with a less than stellar pass rush are sending the house to get Aaron dancing...the comments of fear of getting hit are really starting to hold water. Quick hitting sure routes could go a long way in making Aaron more comfortable in the pocket again.

IMO Aaron Rodgers' best game as a passer was that divisional game against Dallas when he was on a gimpy leg.

That Rodgers proved to me he's a legitimate QB in the league.

Then he got his legs back.

Bring back Aaron Rodgers with the quick and effective release please.

Been out of sync for a few years. Just been hidden by numbers created by free plays and busted play scramble drills. Its been slowly going down as we lost players like Jennings, Driver, Jones and haven't found replacements of their level. Back when we won the SB, we basically had 5 #2/#3 WR's. today we have a #2, #3 and 3 - #4/#5

Until the Packers reintroduce the middle of the field and quick routes into the offense, we can expect to see the same bullshit every week.

McCarthy's scheme is abysmal. No change from last year.

Rodgers mechanics are brutally bad and he is continuing to decline.

Why?

McCarthy is the leader of this team. He needs to do whatever is necessary to fix the issue. I don't think Hundley is the answer at all. Aaron Rodgers still has all the elite physical tools and intelligence, he just needs to get right mentally and needs a coach to guide him through the process. I don't think McCarthy is capable of doing that at this point, for whatever reason. Someone has to make it happen, because McCarthy's message has become stale, even if it is the right message.

Rodgers' happy feet and brainular issues, McCarthy seemingly being incapable of making adjustments, and WRs dropping shit on the rare occasion someone does get schemed/fluked open. More talent sure as hell won't hurt but this is the NFL. You've got to be able to move the ball more consistently than this even if you've got a bunch of #4s out there.

All of the players are also to blame, but they are a subset of the coaching. It's been going on long enough. Be aggressive and fix the issues. Whatever has been happening simply isn't working so it's time to try something else. The buck has to stop somewhere, and ultimately, that should be the head coach in this case, imo.

Zero2Cool (6h) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (6h) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (8h) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (9h) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (10h) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (10h) : Thank you
wpr (10h) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (10h) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (10h) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (10h) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (10h) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (11h) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (11h) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (12h) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (12h) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (12h) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : what's so funny?
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Bears are finalizing a deal to hire Ben Johnson as their head coach. (via @tompelissero )
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : Looks like Lions OC Ben Johnson is going to be the Bears coach
