He could've lost his leg...

Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater may have lost far more than the NFL season if not for the quick action of on-site trainers, according to injury specialist Will Carroll. A tibiofemoral dislocation is a traumatic dislocation of the knee which often causes vascular injuries and permanent damage if immediate action if not taken. Bridgewater's tibia and femur reportedly separated at the knee, causing the catastrophic situation.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Not specifically speaking of the group here but why does it seem like there are a lot of people writing off the Vikings season because of this injury? Vikings revamped their offensive line with one of the best RBs in the league. They have one of the better defenses in the league as well under Zimmer.

All they need to do is find someone with the same abilities as Bridgewater and that can easily come in the form of Sanchez or Kaepernick. All they need to do is add a QB that can manage a few dink and dunk passes to keep a defense honest.

Bridgewater was trending upwards but there is no way this ruins their season.

Injury sounds devastating and they seem optimistic about a recovery but I wouldn't be surprised if something like this hampers his career or doesn't allow him to play again. Sucks.

As Kevin Seifert of ESPN rightly pointed out...Vikes need to plan as if Teddy is not coming back.

This just makes what they might do that much more interesting. They might be trading for who they think is their next franchise QB. Could be a Kurt Warner or a Ryan Leaf. Kinda scary that they might actually find a star. Any QB is going to win games there, a great one could get them where they've never been.

Here's the problem: McCown in Cleveland! If Minny gets him, this team could be better.
