Really?..., so you're saying if a star player goes down for major time, the team is hurt? Say it ain't so...
Is this injury event true for just the Packers? Or all teams everywhere?

Any team in any sport can claim the same thing about their star players.... the team would be hurt...

What!?! ... Ted Thompson just used FA this very year to upgrade the WR position... and you complained like hell about that... now you're complaining he's not doing it? SO no matter which way Thompson goes, it seems like you're going to complain...

If Jones is washed up, then almost all the FA WRs are washed up, as the much more talented WR normally don't make it to FA, or get way over paid.

So you're asking for a team to let a top tier WR get to market and to be reasonable for the Packers to sign...

In other words you're asking for something that doesn't exist... which lets you keep complaining that it doesn't happen. Even though it's not really that possible to happen in the first place.

I just wish that we could scheme guys open, instead of just relying on these types of matchups.

There is something Ted Thompson can do about it, but he refuses to make trades or spend money in free agency - at the detriment of our team. Wolf admitted he failed Favre because he didn't surround him with enough talent. And we keep making the same mistakes.

We'll have 30 years of elite quarterback play and 2 Lombaris to show for it. That is embarrassing, and all you slurpers accept it and the excuses that go with it.

None of you has the ability to demoralize me!

To grab a guy like James Jones for the veteran minimum is about as good as it gets in NFL free agency.

It's like other teams fans bitching they didn't sign Aaron Rodgers in FA.... he hasn't been in FA to be signed...

And it seems like even if one position was fixed they'll just go onto the next position complaining that's not fixed too... sorry this isn't madden, the whole team isn't going to be at the probowl level, much less the ALL-NFL level, like what's being asked for. It's just unrealistic thinking being put to real life events, the whole team isn't going to be at an all star level.

An elite receiver or tight end opens up the offense for the rest of the skill position players to be better. I don't know why that concept is so difficult for the slurpers to understand.

But you're complaining the Packers aren't signing good enough WRs in FA, when the Packers just went out and signed the best WR that was in FA... his name is Randall Cobb.

And if all the WRs were healthy, I don't believe you'd be taking shit about them, but another position (like OT, which we might need to also need to keep eyes out for upgrades there too, but probably draft and develop is more likely).

And it is not unrealistic to have and elite receiver to with an elite quarterback, it is irresponsible to not make that happen.

dfosterf (13-Aug) : a lower back injury

Mucky Tundra (13-Aug) : With LVN that is; need to see what happens in the next practice

beast (12-Aug) : I believe Musgrave has been injured every single season since at least a Sophomore in highschool

beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress
