Lacy and Adams injured ankles in Seattle, Adams came back to play, Lacy didn’t. Who’s injury was more serious/susceptible to reinjury? Lacy, Right? But he got through the game and had a lot more stress put on his injured ankle than Adams’. The medical staff has expertise and MRIs and given how conservative they usually are I don’t think they can be blamed for Adams’ reinjury, unless ya got more info (Like Musccy said). The reinjury was a fluke because Adams was doing a Janis impersonation and went up awkwardly for that ball.

Play #1-Adams was running an option hook. If CB is inside he hooks outside and vice-versa. The CB was inside but Adams turned inside [the wrong way] and Aaron Rodgers threw outside. Adams had to awkwardly lunge back for the ball and was perfectly okay. [Boykin did this a few times in 2014].

Play #2-Adams blocks with great leg drive on Lacy’s run, again looks perfectly okay.

Play #3-Adams was running an out, Aaron Rodgers either made a bad throw or Adams was supposed to turn up field [probably the later]. Adams suddenly stopped and leaped off his bad foot while pirouetting. I think reinjury occurred on way up and caused or contributed to Adams missing the catch; because he landed on his good foot. Though it should be noted CB made contact just as bad foot hit ground, so it is possible the reinjury occurred while landing. I bet if Adams runs all his routes correctly, thus eliminating the need for awkward lunges and pirouetting leaps, he probably finishes the game.

Ted Thompson and the med staff expressly informed us that Adams’ injury would not be long term, when they placed Q on IR-DTR. GB did not want to lose Gaston [hope he makes PS; but I doubt it, someone will claim him-EG, Patriots activated Kyrie Thornton to their 53 from PS this week], so they’d IR Adams if he was going to be out for year and if they were not sure then its Adams that ends up on IR-DTR, not Q. I think Q should request of Godell to serve his suspension over the next couple of weeks.😂

Abbey being called up is proof Adams ain’t playin’. With only 5 WRs and 3 TEs on roster with Q and Adams out; and Backman, Monty and Janis not having full grasp of playbook [because they are rookies or not so bright] that leaves us with only 3 dependable targets. Abby will be the 4th most dependable target v. 49ers.

This happened today? Aren't they already in San Francisco?

I wonder if he made the trip! (?)

The player(s) thought they weren't going because they're on the practice squad and not going to be playing in the game (like college teams don't bring all their back-up players who they don't think will get on the field). But I could be confusing that with inactive players... if they told some player they were going to be inactive before making the trip.

But that would be very awkward for Gaston/coaches... if they told him we're releasing you while on a road trip. Do you leave them in SF? Do you try to catch a team plane ride back home to get your stuff out of Wisconsin? Do you wait to see if your claimed? Or if they might offer a PS spot to you? etc, etc.

But overall I see this as Gaston got released for Guion and Abbrederis got signed for Quarless going on IR.

It'll be interesting how comfortable they feel with Abbrederis or will he be on the inactive list... or 5 WRs? or maybe even 4th if they like what they've seen in the last month.

As for having 3 slot WR types... that could be a good thing, with not having Nelson to stretch the field and the OT not being a huge strength they could be going for a lot more shorter passes to get Y.A.C. on more than the deep treat or possession WR.

Seriously, I cant imagine any il-will by Gaston on his release. He knows he's #7 DL and cut when Jones and Guion come back. He got some hope when Boyd went down; but still knows he's a #52-53 guy and saw Joe Thomas' performance .

GB surely informed Gaston that he's still viewed as a Packer, that if he doesn't get claimed, he'll be asked to join PS or even better play that 54 man roster trick w/him.

And ABBy is playing. The ONLY ways they cut Gaston and Abby sits is if Abby gets a concussion i warm ups or another GM was trying to woo Abby w/ a promise of a roster spot, and I cant see this happening. I'll be stunned if Janis gets more reps, I wonder if Abby or Monty gets more.

Hopefully Gaston clears waivers and can take Abby's spot on the PS.

Mucky Tundra (3m) : Getting help would have been nice, but helping ourselves should always be the plan
beast (21m) : Too bad Seahawks couldn't beat Vikings
bboystyle (35m) : We just need to win Monday night and were in
Mucky Tundra (3h) : Or ties, but let's be real here
Mucky Tundra (3h) : Other scenario was Falcons+Rams losses
Mucky Tundra (3h) : Needed a Falcons loss for a Seahawk loss to clinch
buckeyepackfan (4h) : Am I wring in saying if Tge Vikings beat The Seahawks, The Packers clinch?
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : Agreed; you stinks
Zero2Cool (21-Dec) : I'm not beating anyone. I stinks.
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : rough injury for tank dell. guy can't catch abreak
beast (21-Dec) : So far the college playoffs have sucked... One team absolutely dominates the other
beast (21-Dec) : Well even if you weren't positive towards a guy, you wouldn't nessarily want to tell the media that (if they don't know about it)
Martha Careful (21-Dec) : I think MLF want Love to look past the end half issues, and feel good about his play. Our coaches generally keep a very positive tone.
beast (21-Dec) : I think a great running game will do that for most QBs
packerfanoutwest (21-Dec) : Coach Matt LaFleur has said quarterback Jordan Love is playing the best football of his career.
beast (21-Dec) : Oh, that's how you keep beating buckeye, with cheating
Zero2Cool (20-Dec) : There is a rule that if your name starts with 'b' you lose 15 points. Hey, I don't make the rules, I just enforce them!
wpr (20-Dec) : and then there is Beast. Running away with it all.
beast (20-Dec) : As of tonight, 3 way tie for 2nd in Pick'em, that battle is interesting!
beast (20-Dec) : Lions vs Vikings could be the main last game as it could determine division winners or #1 vs #2 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Or if KC needs to win for the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Right now it looks like the only prime worthy games are Det-Minny and KC-Denver (if Denver can clinch a wild card spot)
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : The entirety of week 18 being listed as flex is weird
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Matt LaFleur today says unequivocally "Ted Thompson had nothing to do with the drafting of Jordan Love."
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Apparently, the editing is what pieces comments together. That Ted thing ... fake news.
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : LaFleur "opportunity that Ted Thompson thought was too good to pass up"
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Jordan Love pick was Ted Thompson's idea.
Mucky Tundra (19-Dec) : Kyle Shanahan on signing De'Vondre Campbell as a FA last offseason: “We obviously made a mistake.”
packerfanoutwest (19-Dec) : Alexander’s last season with GB
Martha Careful (18-Dec) : if I were a professional athlete, I would probably look to see who the agent is for Kirk Cousins and then use him
beast (18-Dec) : $100 million fully guaranteed Kirk Cousins gets benched for rookie
Mucky Tundra (18-Dec) : a lower case b
Mucky Tundra (18-Dec) : The real lie is how beast capitalized his name in his message while it's normally spelled with
packerfanoutwest (18-Dec) : haha that's a lie
beast (17-Dec) : Despite what lies other might tell, Beast didn't hate the Winter Warnings, it felt refreshing to Beast for some reason.
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : whiteout uniforms in general are pretty lame and weak. NFL greed at it's worst
Martha Careful (17-Dec) : The Viking uniforms, the whiteout uniforms specifically absolutely suck
beast (17-Dec) : Thanks Zero2Cool, looks a lot better now
beast (17-Dec) : Seems like someone has a crush on me, can't stop talking about me
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : Should be gooder now. The forum default theme went to goofy land.
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : What the hell
packerfanoutwest (17-Dec) : yeah beast hates the Winter Warning Unies
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Okay I'm glad to know it's not just something happening to me lol
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Zero, did you copy the Packers uniforms from last night and white out the board?
beast (16-Dec) : Oh crap, is the board going to the Winter Warning Uniforms too?!? It's all white on white right now!
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : WR Odell Beckham Jr is officially a free agent after clearing waivers.
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : Packers are 6th in sacks.
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : RB David Montgomery will undergo season-ending knee surgery.
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Dan Campbell on onside kick with 12 minutes left: In hindsight, wish I didn’t do that
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : They have that whole 12th man thing so ...
