Andrew Quarless really hasn't been involved much. I believe his first pass target was against the Chiefs. He did catch that first target.

The Green Bay Packers have placed TE Andrew Quarless on injured reserve – designated for return. The transaction was announced Wednesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director o...

This means Letroy Guion can be added to the 53 without having to cut anyone. That kind of word out nicely.

Of course with the way the injuries are stacking up, someone is probably going to be injured between now and 8 weeks from now and Quarless might be a better player than the practice squad or FA that the Packers can find.

And I'm still left wondering if maybe the Packers should of sign TE Jermaine Gresham... who hasn't yet done too much this season either but he's coming back from surgery and might just be getting started.

With how other teams quickly grabbed the TE that the Packers cut, it would of probably meant Backman would of been gone though.... but we don't yet know his true value yet either.

Maybe we'll see what Backman's got.

Richard Rodgers is doing a pretty good job. Sure wish we had that freak athlete tight end though. I guess Finley was a luxury player.

It's kind of turning out that whoever gets targeted with the pass just needs to catch it. We have a very good system in place and the greatest quarterback. I was at a funeral today and talking to one of my oldest friends (Cowboys fan) and he said Rodgers is the greatest quarterback he's ever seen. Who was I to argue.

We could be seeing more of those FB in action on offense. Kuhn is good old reliable and Ripkowski is athletic and ready to block.

I liked Quarless and his performance better than R. Rodgers ....... but that's water over the dam now. I welcome the prospect of seeing Backman get into games. I get a little sick of reading crap about talented players who "aren't ready". 31 other teams play young players routinely and mostly without consequences from inexperience. The Packers have too much of a "seniority system".

Why else like 2 catches for 14 yards better than 8 catches for 65 yards?

Or playing inexperienced Safeties MD Jennings and Jerron McMillian on defense?

Or like a young Micah Hyde getting his hands on the 49ers pass on their final drive and dropping it in a playoff game?

Or maybe you mean an inexperienced Brandon Bostick blocking on an onside kick in a playoff game?...

Yeah ... lets play the guys who "aren't ready"... and see how that goes.... [whead]
