No matter what Abby does tonight; I think he’s going to the PS. One front office exec said heath concerns caused Abby to be taken off their draft Board; most GMs were probably not far behind in this thinking. Heck, GMs around the league, puzzled over the Blanchard cut now know why: GB only had 4 red jerseys, Blanchard was cut so Abby could get one. I just cant see any of the other 31 GMs, agonizing over whether to cut a vet and/or which possible young stud should be exposed to waivers, would give that 53rd spot to a guy that hasn't made it through a week of practice let alone a game. And its not like he has Randy Moss measurables that may cause a gambling GM to gamble.
Our WR depth chart is a disaster, we have only 2 reliable WRs to count on at the moment, so WR-6 CANNOT go to physical question mark [or a rookie].
WR1- Cobb -I fear his injury is being understated, even if not, his shoulder must be 100% stable because the Bears and sociopathic Seattle will be gunnin' for and may re-separate that separated shoulder; then he’ll probably be lost for the year. We wont know if he’s playin’ v. Bears until game day.
A "Minor AC Joint" could be: Grade 1 sprain = 2-3 weeks; Grade 2=6 weeks; Grade 3=12 weeks. Cobb couldn't unbutton his chin strap and thought his collar bone was broken; sounds like Grade 2 or 3. Walked to lockerroom normally; looks like Grade 1 or 2. Returned to sideline w/o a sling really looks like a Grade 1.
WR-2,3 White, Addams know the system, But White only lasted 123 snaps in 2013 before going on IR and he doesn’t look like the most durable of receivers.
WR 4-Montgomery. He’s hurt and rookie WRs usually fail to contribute much early in the season and have marginal production throughout. If he equals the fastest learner of all time, Greg Jennings, the best he’ll probably due in first half is [61-29-485-2] and make his share of possession killing mistakes as Jennings did.
WR 5-ARs said it out loud, Janis is UNRELIABLE. He might be utilizable in a few packages, but he is not now an NFL receiver and should not even be thought about as being on the depth chart.
A poster from another board who was at the Eagles game saw Bennett screaming at Janis after the pick 6. When you look at the reply; Rodgers is looking back right [in Janis’ direction] w/ hands up as if to say “where the heck is he at?”; Hundley same expression, a rookie with hands up saying “what the eff are you doin’?.” McCarthy, disgustedly rocking his torso side to side thinking “what kinda dumba$$ do I have on my roster?” When this staff starts openly screaming at a player; Mike McCarthy acting with way too much drama; Aaron Rodgers overtly telling the press Janis is screwing-up; and players being demonstrative showing up a teammate on the field; YOU GOT A REAL PROBLEM. Aaron Rodgers might be greasing the PR wheels for Janis’ cut.
WR6- must be a vet, Boykin has cleared waivers and Jones will be free on Saturday. The suspensions will help us keep 6 WRs on the roster. Mike McCarthy typically activates 5 DL for a game. There's no need to put 6th DL on roster week 1, he'll just be inactive. If all 5 DLman stay healthy, in weeks 2 and 3 the same strategy can be employed or until Cobb’s shoulder is 100% stable. And then maybe after 3-4 weeks of practice Abby might be ready to be placed on roster.
