As long as Aaron is there the night Brett's number is added to the Ring of Honor!

That's the I.important date!

I sure hope Bart Starr can be at both, been very little news about his recovery.

That would make both days do much more special.

I don't understand why anyone thinks Aaron should be at Favres packers HOF thing? He wasn't here and had nothing to do with the majority of Bretts career in GB. Guys like Antonio Freeman and others that Brett actually played with or was friends with is who you'll see there. It makes no sense to act like Aaron should have some obligation to be there.

Well I'll just jump in too it, Rodgers is arguably the face of the franchise and team leader. I get he had this planned in advance but when you're in a leadership role regardless if it's a football team or private company sometimes you're expected to attend these kind of functions.

To me personally he should darn well know that skipping out is going to create a bit of a stir and look bad, be the leader and show up.

Now before I get all the Favre/Rodgers poo storm.... ask yourself this: If it was Bart Starr or Jerry Kramer Rodgers was dissing would you still say no big deal ?

Again a real leader can't pick and choose his situations he has to take them as they come.... Just my thoughts

Sigh.... you missed the point.

He is the leader of the franchise for lack of a better term when you are in a leadership position then sometimes you are expected to attend certain functions.

Put Favre and Rodgers relationship to the side.... got it? Fantastic.

When a franchise icon( could be anyone of them) goes in the HOF do you :

A. Go and represent the brand because hey that will be you someday and it's the right thing to do.
B. Go golfing and blow it off as no big deal.

To me it's not about Favre. It's about being a leader and doing the right thing. Time to stop acting like the 20 something golden boy and settle down a hair.

As for the media Z2C he consented to the ESPN interview and could have answered in a variety of ways.

He walked into this poo storm knowing full well his choice of not going could stir the pot.

OK done... sorry

Had Favre been a wire to wire Packer I would agree with the above post. He's a Minnesota Vikings QB...that is where he wanted to be so that's how I view him, so why would Aaron be there for a guy who wanted to and did finish his playing career for another team?

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Of course he knows it will create a poo storm. You can say shit on this forum you know. If not Nerd would have been banned long ago or have nothing to say but I digress. It will create a poo storm among the media looking for clickbait and among the Favre/Rodgers feud conspiracy theorists looking to read far more into something than should be.

If it was Bart Starr or Jerry Kramer you would get a different reaction because no one hates Bart Starr or Jerry Kramer. Lots of people hate Favre so its no big deal to them if Rodgers misses the event. If it were Starr of Kramer they would say the same thing you did, that its his job as the leader to be there.

If Rodgers had nothing planned I would love to see him there but I wouldn't hold it against him if he didn't show up. As it is, he has made a commitment to be somewhere else and since this is not a life altering event I would have less respect for him if he were to cancel his previous commitment just to put on the face of the franchise at some event that is not about him.

If not for the golf tourny, would Rodgers have some obligation to be there? 😕

Mucky Tundra (3h) : Missed FG into a Lions TD; that'll do pig, that'll do
Mucky Tundra (3h) : That might be it for the Vikings
Mucky Tundra (3h) : Oh so the refs do know what intentional grounding is
Mucky Tundra (3h) : what the hell was that Goff?! Not much pressure and he just air mails it to Harrison
Mucky Tundra (4h) : They really need to to get rid of the auto first down for illegal contact
Martha Careful (4h) : watching the Vikings and Lions it's understandable why they swept the Packers. So much better product
Mucky Tundra (4h) : Even when GB got pressure he was throwing darts; vs no pressure on that last pass he just air mails an open guy
Zero2Cool (4h) : didn't have guys in his face ... pressure makes difference
Mucky Tundra (4h) : Where was this Darnold vs GB?
Mucky Tundra (4h) : BALL DON'T LIE
Mucky Tundra (4h) : how was that not a safety? Goff throws it at an offensive lineman
Mucky Tundra (5h) : Zero, I thought that was a given! ;)
Mucky Tundra (5h) : Zero I looked through earlier and noticed the same thing. Bonkers year. I just wonder if beast put any money on games
Zero2Cool (5h) : I'm hoping for BLOODBATH. Pummel one another.
Zero2Cool (5h) : 8 people in pick'em would have won any year with their total lol
Mucky Tundra (5h) : I'm rooting for the Lions to lose.
Mucky Tundra (5h) : God help me but I'm rooting for the Vikings to...Vikings to...Christ I can't say it
Zero2Cool (6h) : 4 td for Rodgers
Zero2Cool (6h) : Chiefs got shutout
Zero2Cool (7h) : Rodgers passes for 3rd TD. might be last game of an amazing career
Mucky Tundra (7h) : "The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry."
Zero2Cool (8h) : Owner ... love it
Zero2Cool (8h) : Mayo was the guy they groomed for HC and one of the reasons they let Bill go.
Mucky Tundra (8h) : Pats have the #4 pick, lots of cap space and Maye at QB; should fetch some attention
Mucky Tundra (8h) : Well that didn't take long; Jerod Mayo out as Patriots HC
Zero2Cool (9h) : I would expect it to be higher in favor of Eagles
Mucky Tundra (9h) : Thst line seems...generous
Zero2Cool (9h) : Eagles -3.5 over Packers in Wildcard Round
Mucky Tundra (9h) : Did it though? Pokes beat the Commanders on the road with Cooper Rush previously
Zero2Cool (16h) : That gives them their best chance
Mucky Tundra (5-Jan) : Cowboys starting Trey Lance at QB vs Commanders; GB vs Philly in the Wild Card incoming!
Mucky Tundra (4-Jan) : Stinks for Lloyd. Hoping he comes back strong for next year
Zero2Cool (3-Jan) : Packers placed Marshawn Lloyd on reserve non-football illness list
Zero2Cool (3-Jan) : Luke Getsy been helping Packers defense. He's former OC Bears/Raiders and our old QB coach
beast (2-Jan) : Thanks dfosterf, I'm still kicking myself for last week, as I forgot to change to pick Vikings and Lions... after putting in a holding spot.
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : First alternate: Elgton Jenkins Other alternates: Jordan Love, Kenny Clark, Keisean Nixon, Tucker Kraft, Josh Myers, Jaire Alexander
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : Pro Bowl still a thing? Guess Packers have three. Jacobs, Gary, McKinney.
dfosterf (2-Jan) : It's a mine field with all the players sitting, etc
dfosterf (2-Jan) : There was quite a bit of "chalk" matchups this year it seemed, but not this week coming up
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : Or we got better and by we I mean everyone except me
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : We have about six that by percent would have won nearly any season. I guess 2024 was predictable 🤷
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : You can check previous seasons. I quick did it and don't think anyone hit 70% before
dfosterf (2-Jan) : Hats off to the Beast
dfosterf (2-Jan) : I'm at 71.76% in pick 'em. 2nd place. Beast is at a flat 75% 9 games ahead. That 75% has got to be unprecedented this late in the season
beast (2-Jan) : I don't care deeply, just want some good entertaining games
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : BTW, not serious.
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : You don't care about it either!!!!
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : NIL and Portal killed college, no one cares about it.
Mucky Tundra (2-Jan) : outside of Texas-Arizona St, it's been a snoozefest
beast (2-Jan) : I expect Georgia will change that tomorrow, but we'll have to wait and see. If they do, then only Big 10 and SEC are left.
