What's your guess for the first player the Packers pick.

Flat out guess Ted Thompson trades down and takes Eric Rowe.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

You could arguably say that Harrell was a reach, but all of his other picks were pretty much in line with their talent level.

For the record, I'm saying Kendricks. It's a safe pick and one I don't even like that much, but also one I don't see us passing on when he drops to 30. Maybe we'll even trade up, after the way Shazier got taken before we ever got on the board last year.

These are my entries for Micheal Rodney's draft contest:

1: Kendricks. Ted continues his predictable and extremely unexciting pattern of drafting a low-risk, vanilla "sure thing" type player. Filling a need on D.

2: Micheal Bennett. Ted breaks his pattern of drafting exclusively "tweeners" and nabs this prototypical 3-4 DE.

Goldman, Brown or Phillips. Ted Thompson goes for a BIG DL in looking to replace Raji and Guion next year.

#1 Goldman- but I don't think he will be available
#2 Brown- Likely
#3 Phillips- Less likely
BAD EMAIL because the address couldn ot be found, or is unable to receive mail.

I usually have a good feeling with my guess by now but not so much this year.

1. Eddie Goldman
2. D. Perryman

We haven't been able to stop the run for years and these two would go a long ways in turning that around. It would be nice for a change to not have to look all the way towards the bottom of the list to find our name on the run D stats. Don always talks about the top priority is stopping the run...well you need the players that can do that so...

This is going to be a wild night starting at Pick 2. I actually don't have a clue what's going to happen by #30.

Good luck Ted. Work it.

Kendricks is the easy one. He kind of fits the mold of guys like Bulaga and HHCD who seem like a perfect fit before the draft and might not make it to our pick but eventually do.

I've been thinking it's going to be a CB for a while so I'll stick with that and choose Byron Jones.

If not a CB then I think it'll be a pass rusher (edge player in this case) so I'll also go with Owa Odighizuwa, I'm not buying the hype that Gregory and Ray are going to make it to 30.

I would like to see Landon Collins be our first pick. A big safety to fill the MLB position on passing downs.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

I have to admit that one of the guys I like the most as a draftnick, Daniel Jeremiah, didn't have him in the first.

He was easily within ten picks on most people's boards, within five on a lot.

A guy like Tyson Alualu... Now that was a reach.
