If we are talking about bringing him in to just be a returner, I would much rather use that roster spot on a guy like Abbrederis or Janis who I believe are going to be capable of being the Packers returners for the next few seasons.

As a WR, I just don't see the use in signing him with Jordy, Cobb and Adams lining up and the battle between Abbrederis, Janis, Boykin (maybe) and White for the #4 and 5 spots.

The guy is nothing but a headache.. why would you want to introduce that issue to Green Bay?

I'd bring him for a 1 year deal to give him his chance for redemption & I would like to see him run those stupid toss plays that they use to run in Seattle with him.

I feel the Seahawks comments are missing something important here. Athletes want to be coached. The expression, give an inch, take a mile comes to mind here. The Packers run a tight ship and that will bode well for someone like Percy Harvin. You keep him on a short leash (for lack of better words) and he won't be able to bite as many people. If he pushes the cusp, you cut the cord.

The Packers are operated much more like the Patriots than the Seahawks. The Seahawks most likely gave Harvin a lot of rope to hang himself and he did just that. So, give the guy less rope.

They are not the Seahawks. They are not the Vikings. They are the Green Bay Packers.

Look at his contract and consider how dysfunctional the Jets are and they have a new coaching staff with no Aaron Rodgers.

If the Packers could land Harvin on a one year prove it deal, it would be in both best interests.

That said, I don't care how dysfunctional other organizations were. He's played for bigger contracts before and since then got kicked off a SB champ and admittedly a mess of an organization (although with a very player-friendly coach). We haven't discussed his injury/migraine history either throughout this thread. When has he consistently demonstrated that he can be a healthy, responsible, mature addition to a franchise? We expect that to change now?

Which of the following provides the least potential to our Packer offense? Jordy, Cobb, Adams, or Harvin?

If you bring Harvin in and expect him to get some reps on Offense, you are taking reps away from our 2 stars and the developing potential star. Not to mention Abbrederis and Janis.

I look at adding Harvin like adding Kaepernick. He would be a great talent to have for about 2 or 3 plays a game. But if you put him in the lineup, you are taking out the reigning MVP. That doesn't make sense, now does it? No matter what potential he brings for those 2 or 3 plays.

Then when you add in Harvin is an absolute destroyer in the lockerroom, just say no.

Charles Woodson had played for one team. Koren, 2. Koren never had the potential that Harvin has. It's not the same.

You guys aren't even taking your minds to the pressure having Harvin on the same field with Jordy, Cobb, and Adams would add to a defensive coordinator. Most teams don't have two good corners yet alone four.

Harvin and Cobb would be matchup nightmares, yet alone running the ball out of a four receiver set. We have the locker room and coaches to handle his eccentricities, whatever those are.

I don't think Ted will open the checkbook this week again.

Let's. See if anyone goes after Harvin this week.

The longer he stays unemployed the lower his cost will be.

With Boykin leaving, there may be room for another WR on the team.

When healthy there aren't many better then, Harvin
