I got a bad feeling about this one, Detroit has already beaten the Pack this season, which has struggled against teams with top-level defenses like the Lions — losing to Buffalo just a couple of weeks ago. This isn’t 2011, 1999, 1993, or even 1991 — it’s 2014 and this Lions team, while not playing the best football in the NFL, has the type of team that could legitimately go on a magical run and it starts with a win in Green Bay that will be remembered for decades to come. Matt Stafford will turn the tide and rebuke the many that feel he can’t win a statement game on the road against a good opponent. Offense comes to play, defenses comes to play…

LIONS WIN THE NORTH….
DETROIT 31 GREEN BAY 24 — !

This game will decide if the real factor is being at home or playing against a top-10 pass defense.

We have played against 4 top-10 pass defenses this year: SEA, DET, MIA & BUF. We have lost 3 of those 4 games and struggled in the 4th but (or and) we have played all these games on the road!

So this is the one and only game we will play at home against a good pass defense and it comes in week #17. This curious case certainly makes the result difficult to predict.

Polar--this week will say a lot about the team, with a bye week & home field the next week riding on it. My expectation is they'll show up to play. And if they show up to play, I think they'll beat the Lions.

Nick Fairley is not going to be playing so that can possibly help turn the tables. We still have to worry about Suh. I think our O line is much improved from the first meeting and Lacy is too. The question I have is the health of Aaron Rodgers.

Trap game? Goodness, I think the last four games were "trap" games for the Packers, at least in the fans eyes.

Being as we DID lose to them earlier, to me means the "Loins" won't be taken lightly.
So much is at stake.
A guarenteed home game and a week off.

Grizz is use to being "Cutler-ed" on big games. This is a big game and Aaron rises to the occasion more times than not.

This is a win going away scoring on 6 of 8 possessions.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
