Sigh. Glaring observations that many of you have already stated.

Defense:

Dlineman. Bennett is just as athletic, if not more than Peppers. He was having his way at the line of scrimmage. Clay and peppers got together a couple of times, but were scrambling and reacting because of subbing. Coaching miss.

Linebackers. Perry and d.jones just look stiff and limited compared to Morris and the Seattle lbs. they were flying all over the place. The Seattle lbs were every bit as athletic as eddie lacy and met him at the LOS.

Secondary. Maxwell played well being picked on the whole game for Seattle. Sherman should have been challenged. Clinton Dix needs to tackle fundamentally better. Shields is the only explosive db we have. Seattle has several.

Overall, Seattle is a rangy and super athletic defense. No news there. The only team that really matches up with them is San Francisco. Our team has only a handful of players who match up athletically. Scheme all you want. It's an uphill battle without the faster horses. Ask Denver.

Offense:

RBs. lacy is strong, tough and quick. Lynch is just as strong, tough, but much quicker. Watch lynch's footwork. Like lightning. Lacy is good too, but watching them side by side, it was clear who had the quicker feet.

WRs. Percy Harvin. A more athletic version of Randall Cobb. And I think Randall is exceptional. We could have benefited from putting Cobb in better situations with the ball(more out of the backfield, etc). Nelson was stellar. Even Seattle respected him. Should have challenged Sherman.

Tight ends. Zach millers diving catch. Us? No diving catches by a TE.

QB. Wilson is getting better and better. A more complete QB than Kaepernick. Played within himself and was hard to stop with lynch play actions.

Rodgers was steady but did NOT challenge Sherman. Coaches and players can deny it and claim that they were shifting Jordy around but, last time checked, shifting a player around means playing him on the other side of the field too. That rarely happened. They matched him up against maxwell for 80% of the game. Sherman had boykins most of the time. The proof is that not one throw went that way.

I'm very disappointed in this. I hate to say this but Favre would've challenged Sherman. He may have lost, but he'd go down swinging. Even Kaepernick challenges. He loses, yes, but is not afraid. Aaron played afraid, or at the least ...conservative. The film doesn't lie.

All in all, we are what we thought we were. A second tier team to the Seahawks and the 49ers. 12-4 and one and done in the playoffs again, if they face SF or Seattle. We can go back to the drawing board and pad the stats against mediocre teams like the Jets, but this January wont lie. Call it pessimism, but I call is realism.

More athletic talent is needed for the team to take it to the next level. 2010 feels so far away now.

Not much else to say.

p.s. Aaron is the QB that challenged a more athletic USC defense with a slow CAL offense, and scored 23 straight completions against them because he wasn't afraid. You can't do that with half the field And "shifting" your best receiver to the left side of the field most of the time.

May be that Finesse Mike was more the scared one rather than Rodgers. Unless you think Rodgers was audibling away from Sherman.

Goddamn Favre and his INTs to Deion.

Then again, if we lose either way, fuck them both.

We have to consider who Sherman was covering...Jarrett Boykin. One of if not the slowest WR in the NFL. Boykin struggles creating separation from average NFL CB's so how in the world was he going to create any against one of the NFL's best?

I can't get my head around what we were doing in that game. It almost felt like we were paid to lay down so Seattle could have their night celebrating their title.

Where was Mike Pennel? Inactive. Where was Jeff Janis? Inactive. Where was DuJuan Harris and his speed on offense. On the bench. We have some players who were good fits vs. what we were opposed by and we sat them.

Janis' speed was no match for Richard Sherman. To not activate double J and let him run some fly routes is crazy. No Pennel to nose vs. Lynch is probably the bigger head scratcher. Guion? That guy was a total scrub in Minnesota and didn't do diddly all off season and he's rewarded with a start vs. the champs? What a wish and a prayer to start that guy. It failed...miserably. No DuJuan vs. that Seattle D? Guys with his speed and change of direction are how you beat a D like that. He didn't play a single play on O if memory serves. It was nothing but we're not good enough and we know it from the beginning. That is not what Mike McCarthy preaches about toughness. The team acted and played like it didn't belong and that is a function of the HC. He's a fraud. Has always been. Fake tough. To waste Aaron Rodgers career with a boob like him and a GM like Ted Thompson is criminal.

The Jets ain't very good but I'll bet we struggle like crazy vs. them. 0-2 seems like a real possibility.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Zero2Cool (8h) : Yeah, he's in the ring of honor, just saw video and his name is up there
Zero2Cool (8h) : Didn't they have a thing in 2023 for Jimmy's ring of honor? I swear I saw it
beast (8h) : Though if they're legitimately trying to re-sign MM, then it makes sense.
beast (8h) : Jerry Jones still hasn't put Jimmy Johnson in the Ring of Honor, but he's in the NFL's Hall of Fame, Jones is petty
Mucky Tundra (20h) : Unless the Cowboys are planning an extension, seems kinda petty
beast (22h) : Cowboys denied Bears request
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : From what I'm reading, MM is under contract through the 14th of January; after that he's free game

Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Oh so the refs do know what intentional grounding is
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : what the hell was that Goff?! Not much pressure and he just air mails it to Harrison
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : They really need to to get rid of the auto first down for illegal contact
Martha Careful (6-Jan) : watching the Vikings and Lions it's understandable why they swept the Packers. So much better product
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Even when GB got pressure he was throwing darts; vs no pressure on that last pass he just air mails an open guy
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : didn't have guys in his face ... pressure makes difference
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Where was this Darnold vs GB?
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : BALL DON'T LIE
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : how was that not a safety? Goff throws it at an offensive lineman
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Zero, I thought that was a given! ;)
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Zero I looked through earlier and noticed the same thing. Bonkers year. I just wonder if beast put any money on games
