Last year, Gregg Williams was suspended from the NFL as part of a controversial series of discipline stemming from the Saints' “bounty” investigation. Some thought he might never return to the sidelines, but he has done just that, as an assistant in Tennessee, and, according to several league sources, his work has hardly gone unnoticed.

Williams has played in a vital role in transforming the team's no-name defense. Players are crediting him for making key adjustments to their scheme and play calls, and with the Titans on the cups of the playoffs despite entering the season with such low expectations, Williams' work is being highlighted. With the final month of the season upon us, teams are putting together lists of possible coordinator and coach candidates, and Williams is in line to receive strong consideration for other defensive coordinator positions, sources said.

Not a fan of williams. Hes one of those coaches who sends in ridiculous blitzes just to do it whether its needed or not. Hes been in charge of some pretty terrible defenses too if I am remembering right.

He's doing a good job in Tennessee this year,

Can't believe anybody would even entertain thoughts of Greg Williams coaching in Green Bay. I really think the "Packers People" thing is really overblown, but there are still some ethical standards in the upper Midwest to adhere to.

The Packers could quite possibly use a shake up in their culture of coaches. They need more attitude, for sure, just like Mike Daniels was talking about.

A lot of ifs have to happen first, though. I’m not certain Mike McCarthy would fire Dom Capers. I think he prides himself on loyalty. In addition, I’m not certain the Jets will fire Ryan. Still, it’s something I was thinking about the other day.
