well we knew Coleman wasn't going to be the answer. We just didn't know who they would pick up for the back up job.

Also, Wallace's familiarity with Holmgren's WCO is so completely removed from McCarthy's WCO. Two completely different coaching trees and philosophies. One is Walsh/Homlgren. The other Coryell/Schottenheimer.

All I do know is Thompson always liked Wallace since his U-Washington days, where there was a lot to like.

Bring back Favre. I'd rather have him backing up Rodgers.

Packers had to release B.J. Coleman because Seneca Wallace needed his number. But I don't know why all the fuss about the backup QB. Other than the Rams over a decade ago, when has a backup QB really been important?

I think LT is more of an issue.

The ineffectiveness of Coleman in preseason is mostly attributable to playing with backups. I do not see Wallace as an improvement at all over either Coleman or Young - Harrell? 50/50 on that one.

As I and others have said, the Packers O and D without Aaron Rodgers ain't gonna threaten anybody. Thus, short of getting Peyton or Brady or Brees for a backup, the season would be down the toilet if Rodgers went down - no more so with Coleman than with anybody else.

At least Vince Young could have run for his life and gained some that way. I don't know, is Seneca Wallace a decent runner? I've never heard that he is.

Anyway, the season ain't down the drain just because we got a different clipboard holder.

why not bring back Favre, he can git-r-done as backup!

I really wish Ted Thompson would try to get Matt Flynn back from Oakland to backup Rodgers...

I don't see why people are making a big deal out of this..

Only thing I wish is that they stick with one QB. I would of been fine with Young. I said that Harrell should hit the road, and that Coleman should hit the PS. Seems like that's the way it's going.

Were we freaking out last year when Graham Harrell was backing up Rodgers? I didn't see this kind of commotion last year this time.. I don't see the hoopla now that we have a better QB in Wallace than Harrell.

I'll say it again, it won't matter who backs up Aaron Rodgers. It doesn't matter who backs up the best QBs in the league. If their star QB goes down it will be over.

I wish people would just move on till we draft a worthy QB to replace Rodgers and that won't be for a while.
