The more Lineman we have on the 53 imo the better.

Imo we keep 9 O-Lineman, 7 D-Lineman.

On my 53 I pretty much had at least 1 backup on each position along the offensive line for their respective positions.

Newhouse and Datko will backup Bak and Barclay.

Taylor will backup Sitton and Lang

and GVR will back up EDS

Lets not forget if there is several offensive lineman geting hurt GVR and Barclay's versatility can be pluged into G.

But the point is having at least 1 backup will limit guys from being shuffled around like in years past.

Obviously if we keep at least 7 on the D-Line we should be pretty damn healthy if we have a quote on quote healthy rotation.

A couple of changes I would have considered: Keeping Harrell as #3 QB (at least early in the season) in place of Green (#4 HB), or going with Starks instead of Green at #4 HB. I'm just not quite comfortable yet with Young as the only backup QB on the roster.

When it comes down to O-lineman vs D-lineman, I hope we keep the best football players and not go by a set number. Datko and Taylor can go to the practice squad without being stolen from us, but we do not have that luxury with Boyd or Jolly, Boyd would be scooped and Jolly is ineligible for the practice squad.

I think Young will be better for us in the long Haul this season, even though Harrell knows this system better.

It's underrated to think Young can't pick up the offense, he has steadily gotten better these past 2 weeks, and a solid 4 weeks of work can prepare him to backup Arod. Add to the fact that Aaron Rodgers is the QB, not Vince Young. So he'll have a full 16 games to learn other Arod, and maybe go somewhere else next year.

He has better athletic ability than Harrell and a better arm. The jail is out on both the QBs accuracy, but they both aren't anywhere greater than eachother in hitting their targets 100% of the time.

I'd rather add depth honestly to other positions than QB to keep Harrell on the roster. Plus we can always nab Coleman off the PS to put on the 53 if need be.

It's a toss up for Green and Starks. But Green's gotta get the edge. He has been more reliable than Starks, and is more Serviceable/Durable than Starks. He's also a lot better catching back and Pass blocking back than Starks.

I wouldn't mind if Starks stayed with us, but I wouldn't like it if Green got the boot.

CJ Wilson doesn't do anything for me, just an average role player at best. No tears will be shed from me if CJ hits the bricks.
