About Vikings QB Joe Webb...
The Packers probably weren't preparing for Joe Webb. And he's much, much different than the guy in front of him.
Webb has been a fan favorite at times in his three years with the Vikings. A versatile quarterback from the get-go, he's been used everywhere from quarterback to receiver to kick returner.
*In his first career start, Webb led the Vikings to a 24-14 upset win over Philadelphia in 2010.
That game he threw for 195 yards on 17-of-26 passing with no interceptions and one rushing touchdown.
*Replacing a struggling Ponder in a 2011 game at Detroit, Webb rushed for 109 yards on seven carries and was 12 of 23 for 84 yards with two total touchdowns.
The 109 yards set a single-game franchise record for rushing yards by a QB.
*He also led the Vikings to one of their three wins last season, shining in place of a concussed Ponder at Washington.
With three scores -- two passing, one rushing --- he finished with a perfect 158.3 passer rating in the win.
Talked to Webb for a story on the Vikings' turnaround last week. Don't think I've met someone with bigger hands than him.
*As a rookie, Webb became the first quarterback in Vikings history to return a kickoff.
