Rams Arrendance 19 % above normal Sunday

I missed the first part of the first quarter of the game. When I got home I turned on the television and started settling in for the game.

It was unsettling!! Before I could kick back, the crowd at the dome in St Louis was erupting in cheering. I wondered what disaster had befallen the Packers.

No worries, Packer fans were out in force.

"That's just a tribute to the Packer organization — the tradition and history of the Packers," Rams coach Jeff Fisher said. "They travel well. They do that wherever they go."

Defensive end Chris Long added: "I expected that they'd be well-represented here. We just never got the chance to quiet them down."

Even if you use the St Louis Post-Dispatch conservative number, that is a lot of money spent in St Louis. 10,000 tickets at $100 is a million dollars; call it 2000 extra motel rooms rented at $80 and perhaps a 1000 car rentals at $40 plus meals ans concessions.

Rams fans without commercial interests had some less generous opinions:

I like that message board thread. Young team compared to our old farts in Green and Gold who average .33 years older, at 5th youngest. Difference is our young team is experienced. We've been top 5 in youngest for at least the last 5 years.

I liked the stat they gave during the game. 46 players on the 53 man roster have only been Packers. Way to go Ted.

And the Kuhn chant. I might make that into a ring tone for my phone.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

I was listening on the radio on my way home. The crowd noise threw me off until I got my bearings.

The KUUUUUUUUHHHNN cheer at away games is great. Kuhn said it was a little frustrating to him when the fans would call out his name as he ran on to the field. A couple of years ago he said he felt like it was impossible to sneak out there without alerting the other team that he was coming into the game. Also the fans tell the other team when he has the ball.

Wonder if it would work.

I doubt that the defense actually pays attention to the crowd during a play, especially not enough to make them think a certain player has the ball.

However, it would definitely let the defense know when he is running onto the field. That makes sense.

wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
Zero2Cool (23-Jun) : PFT claims Packers are having extension talks with Zach Tom, Quay Walker.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
