Hello everyone,

To start, I would like to say that I was an active member on another packers forum but had a power-hungry moderator abuse his powers and wouldn't admit to doing so, so here I am and I like what I see.

Now to topic at hand - I am going to St. Louis for the Packers/Rams game as it is the only game I can attend this year because of it's close proximity to where I am at (oklahoma city if you couldn't tell by my name).

I have been to Lambeau 3 times in my life and they were the most enjoyable football games I have ever been too, the atmosphere, the history, the city, everything. Most recently it was the the 45-7 throttling of the cowboys on primetime 2 years ago.

I understand Edward Jones Stadium is going to be different and I might best be served posting this on a St. Louis Rams message board but I am just trying to get a good idea of what to expect and also what to do before the game in terms of parking and tailgating.

If anyone else is going to the game please let me know as well and we can possibly meet up for a quick beer at half time!

I have not went to a Rams game in St. Louis, however I have attended Cardinal - Brewer games there.. St. Louis is a fine city with friendly chattering and banter. Enjoy your trip and welcome to the board.

Oh.. and may I ask which board you are defecting from.. curiosity is all.

Welcome to the board buddy, it's nice here. I was at that Dallas game at lambeau as well, that was a hell of a time. I think I lost most of my voice from all the cheering of watching my team demolish my most hated team, what a game. I can't give you any insight on the Rams stadium, unfortunately. Have a good time and make sure to rub our win into the faces of those st. louis fans for me (I have very few to harass around here).
BAD EMAIL because the address couldn ot be found, or is unable to receive mail.

I had tried including that site (again) into my postings, but there's a certain moderator who loves flexing their internet muscles and it just wasn't worth the time anymore. But loads of activity there, which is awesome! The more Packers sites on the internet, the better!

Glad to have you here and never hesitate to bring others along with you or spread the word of this place to family and friends alike. Enjoy your game and hopefully the Packers reward you with a W.

Hey, OKC! I have been to St. Louis numerous times and to a game there once. Parking for us was very easy as we found one of the many parking garages in the city only a few blocks away that had parking for aroun $10, maybe even 5. Which is a lot cheaper than any other venue that I have been to.

The stadium isn't exactly a gem but there are some great tradeoffs from that. For example, when I went to the Georgia Dome you could only go to the section in which your tickets were. At the Jones dome I went to the exit of the Packers locker room onto the field and could have reached out and touched the players coming out. It was really cool to be that close(obviously about an hour til gametime that kick you out of there).

St. Louis fans were great, they are very courteous and fairly knowledgeable, although they are waaaaay more interested in baseball. I don't know what the baseball schedule looks like for that weekend but the city might be a little more packed with the NLCS going on. There are a few tailgating spots around in different parking lots in the city.

You will have a great time, I am sure. I left really enjoying it and will definitely go back sometime. Have fun!

Greetings Okie.
Welcome to the best board around. (Although the mod/owner is a bit of a pain in arse.)

I too was at the GB-Dallas butt kicking. I took my cowboy loving B-I-L. It was a long, quiet, 4 hour trip home for him.

I go to Cardinal games in StL every year. I have parked int he garage near the stadium. It is not bad but it takes awhile to get out of there. I have parked out on the street on Chestnut or Pine near 18th St. It is meter parking. (I am not sure about Sundays.) Then a short walk to the stadium. The stadium is down around 7th st but then you would also have to walk a few blocks north.

One of the things I like about parking out there is I am pretty close to the I64 on ramp.

Some of the hotels out in that area have shuttles to the baseball games. i have stayed at a couple of them. I think one is the Hampton Inn.

Leave it to Brewers fans to not know the baseball schedule. first of all StL will clinch the pennant Friday night so it is not going to be a problem. If there is going to be more than 5 games the last 2 will be back on the Left Coast so again. No Problem. The WS is scheduled to begin after the weekend is over. But there may well be extra people milling around town this weekend. have fun.

Welcome aboard!
Went to the Packers/Rams game in 2009 and it was a good experience. Didn't do any tailgating and found it difficult to find parking. By the time we parked there was no time to tailgate (our own fault). Like said, the stadium is nothing special...but you can pretty much roam around. The fans are just fine and into the game just as much as you are.
What I recognized when I went was that there are a lot of fans stuck in the 90's, wearing 90's memorabilia. Nothing wrong with that since at the time, Sam Bradford was not their QB and they had absolutely nothing to cheer for. The fans are great though.

Head out to the visiting teams locker room exit after the game. You pretty much see every player boarding the buses and a lot of players that have family attending come out into the crowd. I wouldn't go as far as asking for autographs as some of the players seemed (rightfully) upset that fans were interrupting family time. I just snapped some pics.

Have a blast. GO PACK GO!
