Okay. I am finally taking the plunge and getting another dog. Like Happy, he will be a Lhasa Apso.
(See pictures below.)

I'm sure everyone will be amused at this, but I will be flying to Albany sometime around Memorial Day. (Yes, I am buying a dog in New York, and flying both ways so he doesn't have to fly cargo or make an 1100 mile drive at 15 weeks old.) What can I say? [duh]

However, I haven't decided on a permanent name yet. His kennel name is okay, but just doesn't have the right feel. And for some reason I can't call him Happy II or similar.

So I'm asking from suggestions from friends all over. If you get the winning name, I will buy (or fund) you two six-packs of your choice (or for nonbeer drinkers, a good bottle of non-French wine) (I'm too cheap to buy French wine; no bottle's of Charles Woodson's wine allowed either, for same reason). (And I promise not to do a Jermichael Findley either, though I might have to be educated how to send alcoholic beverages over state/country lines).)

So far, the candidates are, in no particular order:
Storm (his kennel name)
Micro (for "microeconomics", my kind of economics)
Edward Warren (for two of my college professors)
Eddie the K (for one of those two professors and my biggest mentor)
Elmer "Pete" (for my dad)
Elmer Arthur (for my dad and brother)
Adam Smith (for famous dead economist)
Ben or Bernard (for Ben Bernanke, from someone who obviously doesn't know my opinions on monetary policy)
Karl (for another dead economist, from someone who does)
Gus

Any suggestions. Again, pictures are below if you need inspiration.

How about Friedrich Frédéric? (for Hayek and Bastiat)

My favorite would have been Kitty. Go outside to call your dog and say "Here Kitty Kitty Kitty." and have your dog run to you. Works best with the giant breed of dogs.

My dad called his dog Dup. Part dog and part pup. Informally I use it for my dog every once in a while when I am thinking of Dad.

Last two for me-
Uncle Teddy since you so admire the job GB does in drafting every year.

Crispin in honor of NSD's newest deduction.

Oh if you were only an accountant. Or a Sherlock Homes fan. (Deduction.)

dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
