GREEN BAY, Wis. -- After Saturday's 19-7 preseason season win over the St. Louis Rams, Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy reiterated his philosophy when it comes to exhibition games.

"Trust me I want to win every play, every game," McCarthy said. "We're a young football team, we've got a lot of guys battling to be on our 53, and we've got to make sure we create opportunities for those individuals."

With that in mind, here's a look at some players who helped themselves against the Rams.

Johnny Jolly:
Micah Hyde:
Eddie Lacy:
B.J. Coleman:
Mason Crosby:

Coleman can't dictate the skill level of the opposition but I have to take his success with a grain of salt. He would most likely not looked as well facing better competition. PS again.
Hyde may have helped himself last night but it is apparent he still has a ways to go and he will need help over the top at times.

I think Palmer and Mulumbo helped themselves also. Both took a step in the right direction, especially Palmer who had been nearly invisible.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

Im feeling a bit weird ... but I was actually rooting for Crosby ... I think its just because I don't like travecia or however you spell his name. Left footer and takes too many steps and doesn't have the strength.

wonder how that kicker in Detroit is doing ...

The Special Teams coach dislikes three step kickers.

I heard he kicked one off the top of the Chrysler building, bounced it off home plate at Comerica Park and put it through the uprights at Ford Field.

Almost

"
Detroit Lions rookie kicker Havard "Kickalicious" Rugland boots a pair of field goals, including a 50-yarder in his first taste of NFL action."
I cant link the video ... but

that's the kicker we should of gotten and we could of gotten him cheap

I gotta wonder if we were even aware of him.. Ted doesn't strike me as the YouTube type.

Mike called out pretty much the whole team right to the media today and instead talked up Seattle especially on defense. I don't think I have seen coach like this in a while. There is definitely a fire under his ass and I hope it translates.

He's always had fire under his ass haha.

He definitely wants more energy, and if they're performing like he wants he'll be cranky.
