There is talk about needing cap space to sign Raji as well but I don't believe he has played himself into a position to garner a big money contract. If he's the best we got and big money is our only way we keep him, we are in worse trouble than is apparent right now. |

Exactly. It's annoying to read about Raji being considered at or even near the same level as Rodgers and Matthews. He has been a major disappointment - a 340+ pound finesse player rather than somebody with toughness as I hoped when they drafted him. |

However, he's not nearly as important as Aaron Rodgers or Clay Matthews, those two get deals first. No question. btw, your statement isn't accurate since the Packers already re-signed Robert Francois. |

Thank you, dfoster. And just to make sure, he actually isn't due for an extension this season, right? Do all three of these guys still have 2 years left on their current contract or is that just Rodgers? |

They will be the two primary signing concerns, but not the only. Raji will get signed, but not as if he is Ngata, he does not seem the best fit for how Capers is using him in this 3-4. He seems to be a better 4-3 DT like Corey Williams. We will have Bulaga coming up, Burnett, Shields, Williams again along with Jones and Nelson. |

I expect a short term (1 or 2 year) deal for Raji at a lower dollar figure that represents his current performance level. If he wants the big bucks, he's got that long to prove he's worth it. |

They will definitely try to re-sign Raji. At the very least, they'd use the franchise tag on him next season. They won't pay him Clay Matthews type money, but he'll get a hefty contract offer. He's far more valuable to this team than a one or two-year deal. There's a reason why running backs kick outside against Green Bay. Unfortunately, his former draft status bloated expectations.
Green Bay has several interesting decisions. Sam Shields played well last year when he wasn't hurt. James Jones and Jordy Nelson don't have many years left on their deals. They may want to stay ahead and sign Randall Cobb. This off-season won't be as proactive as people want, but there's going to be some summer and mid-season talks.

I think a read that other than the starting OGs and P, all the Packers players contract will be up in the next 3 offseasons.
That's a lot of contracts... and Matthews, Raji, Burnett, Shields, Hayward, Cobb, Bulaga, maybe Newhouse and D-Smith will all be getting some large raises coming off their rookie deals.
