Green Bay --- The Packers took a risk in letting tight end Tom Crabtree test the open market. When they didn't tender the restricted free agent, "multiple teams" put calls in.

Its ok. he can be replaced with a 4-5th round pick for a lot less money.

Yeah, when this sort of thing happens, I am happy for somebody who over-achieves for the Packers if he can get some team to give him way more than the Packers know he is worth. I would really like to see a tall possession-type pass receiving TE - maybe almost as good a blocker as Crabtree and bigger and maybe a bit faster. I wonder if Mike Bruesewitz could put on 20-30 pounds and give football a try. He'd probably need a haircut to fit a helmet hahaha.

Im actually looked forward to seeing Brandon Bostick. Ht / Wt: 6'3' / 245 He was a receiver and basketball player in college who possesses "eye-opening potential as a downfield weapon."

I always forget that a team has to tender a player for him to become a restricted free agent. It makes me wonder why the Ravens never tendered Joe Flacco last year. Then they could have gotten a realistic appraisal of his worth, instead of pre-emptively blowing their load all over him before finding out what other teams might actually offer him.

Why.. that would make sense. Boldin was huge for Flacco. I'd be surprised if they were in the playoff hunt next year.

Loved Tom Crabtree.

I'm gutted he has left us.

Thanks for the memories Tom. Especially the fake FG TD v the Bores.
