Are you high? Greg Jennings is not a number one receiver and never was; and for the love of God should not be paid as one. He's a great route runner who gets a lot of YAC when he has a pin point passer hitting him between the numbers. Take away the pin point passer, and you have a soon to be 30 year old precision route runner getting pummeled by DB's and linebackers. IE, the Vikings overpaid and are now up against the cap. What a coup!!!!

Against the cap?!?! They were $15+ mil under the cap prior to free agency. They let most of their free agents go, cut Winfield ($7 mil alone), traded Harvin (just under a mil), and paid GJ ($9.5). I'm pretty sure the Vikings are no where near the cap.

As far as GJ goes, he may not be the best, or even top10 #1 WR.. but he IS a true #1. He just happened to move around a lot in GB because of how versatile he is. Which he'll probably do a lot of in Minny along with being the #1 WR.

The more you post on Jennings, the more evidence you leave of sour grapes.

Yeah, I'm going to feel real bad when we lock up Rodgers and Matthews instead of wasting money on a guy we already replaced with Cobb. Rolling Eyes Go to bed little boy - you need your rest.

We both know I need some rest.. but not before eating something first. So while that's cookin', I'll respond: You are fortunate enough to have a QB worthy of locking up. Not many teams have that option. Count your lucky stars up there.

Jared Allen is now a character guy. I heard he's been pulled over like 20 times since his arrival in Minnesota.

Your law enforcement just lets him run around drunk and your politicians just build more of those aerial hamster tubes in the twin cities in an attempt to keep the citizens above the rampage.

Reading the comments ... I can't help laugh at Vikings fan's ... they talk shit about the Packers, but once a Packers joins their team, suddenly they are Super Bowl bound.

I'm happy for the Vikings. They now have a good WR and also if they want to see a ring, they can ask Jennings to bring his that he earned with the Green Bay Packers.

Been counting em for over 20 years now, and when Rodgers starts getting grey in the temples, we'll draft and develop the next one.

BTW, does it chap your ass that your trilogy of idiots drafted Williamson and James before we took Rodgers at 24? I mean, who would have thought that "I need the remedial playbook" Culpepper couldn't throw up quail to Moss his whole career.

Jennings is a two. That's not sour grapes. Hell, Dakota could have said he's about a FIVE on our team and not been far from wrong, on our team. He's a two with an elite receiving corps, not just ours corps, but many in the NFL. He may be a 1 on yours, and he may be good, but that says more about the rest of the corps on the Vikes than you are willing to admit, Jeremy.

If Greg Jennings had got hit with that pass by Rodgers at the end of the playoff game against the Cards, which Rodgers blew, btw- He'd cost anyone a fortune, right about now. (He was wide-assed-open)

Great pick up for you, I have no bitterness, I like Greg a lot. His sister, not so much, of late, lol

Its not much different that Packers fans fawning over their players until they sign with another team and all of a sudden they suck, always did suck and always will suck. Its the nature of the beast. Our guys are good yours are not. When our guys become your guys they become crap and when we get your guys they will become good. When we do have a player that a fan thinks is crappy they still think he will be worth at least a high 2nd rounder in a trade and they wouldn't give more than a 6th rounder, maybe a 5th, for another teams pro bowl starter.

Dakota says Jennings never was a #1 receiver, well he was the Packers #1 for a few seasons at least. He will be the vikings #1 receiver and he may put up similar numbers simply because there are no other options. He will be far more productive for the vikings than he would have been for the Packers and that makes it a good signing for the vikings.

lol Your sources are so far off, its not even funny. Trust me, if he were pulled over, EVERYONE would have known about it because of his checkered past. Now you are just talking shit.

I don't know about the vast majority of Viking fans, but I never made that claim and not a single fan I know has made that claim. We are cautiously optimistic at best. Sure, the trolls on ESPN/PFT/NFL.com's comments are saying 'SuperBowl'.. but they are simply that.. Trolls. Just like Seattle's trolls are saying 'SuperBowl' and Denver's trolls are saying 'SuperBowl'.. A couple of trolls on the vast interweb's comments section that are excited about their team's prospects in the coming season doesn't mean they are saying 'SuperBowl homeboy!'. Just means they are excited. Don't get excitement and pontification confused.

Yeah. Good luck with that. As far as Williamson/James draft goes.. I don't think the triangle of power was in effect there yet. I could be wrong, though. Anyway, it's over. 21 teams past on Moss. I never trumpeted that fact.

Ok, when I say Jennings is a true #1 WR. I don't mean as in, the best in the WR corp. I mean, the #1 WR position. The 'X'. The Split End. Not the 'Y' or 'Z', or Flanker/Slot.

As far as him not being the best WR on the Packers.. Duh. If he was, he wouldn't have even hit the free agency. Saying he's now the best WR on the Vikings is common sense. Trust me, Dave. I know our WRs suck. They've sucked in a long, LONG time. Which is why I'm not upset that Jennings was signed.

That said, I'm going to be following Greg's sister now, just to see her rants about Ponder. If she had issues with #12, then her tweets about Christian are going to be gold.

GREAT point, Zero!!!
It was the same garbage when Favre played for the Packers.
Jennings improves the Vikings. But then again, how could he NOT?
To me, he doesn't suck. He's a decent WR. But again, if he has no decent QB to throw to him, how big of an impact will he really have?
No Aaron Rodgers throwing the ball to him.
Of course i hope he crashes and burns while with the Queens. Just as i'm sure that if Adrian Peterson came here to play the Vikings fans would want him to suck.

The funny part is ... I remembered their names ... so when it was rumored Greg Jennings was going to be a Packer, they whined, said it was gonna be a mistake like Jerome Simpson ... and when it was reported he signed and done deal ... they were spouting off big time. It is funny. I notice these things, only Redskins and Vikings fans seem to do it, lol.
