I just spent part of my lunch watching Friendly Persuasion. Haven't seen it in years.

It is on youtube, I am going to have to watch the full movie tonight or tomorrow.

you know, some of his "acting issues" was the cheesy scripts that he had to work with. They wanted Bond to be a little more tongue in cheek than the ones before and after.

My wife liked him when he played Beau Maverick opposite James Gardner. I only saw part of one episode so I can't say for sure.
I did see him play Simon Templar in the 1960's tv series The Saint. That wasn't too bad.

I think his style played better in the UK and Commonwealth nations that here.
