I enjoy that show, on NBCsports, when I can catch it.. so why not start our own little version here. Quote:Every game has a turning point and NFL Films and the NBC Sports Group are partnering to cover that crucial moment for football fans in a more in-depth way than ever before by launching a new one-hour program, "NFL Turning Point," that will air weekly on VERSUS during the NFL regular season.
Each week, NFL Films will utilize its unprecedented access to cover two games in its traditional behind-the-scenes, award-winning style. The crucial moment in each game -- its turning point -- will be examined in-depth and from all angles using NFL Films’ unmatched cinematography, sideline and on-field audio as well as postgame access to players and coaches. Many point to Burnett's endzone pick as the turning point of the game yesterday. While it was huge, I don't think that is when the game actually swayed the Packers way. I think that point was when, after a break, Mike McCarthy decided to trot out Crosby in place of going for a 4th and long. The players reactions after hit made that FG to cut the lead to 1.. that is when the games emotions and momentum swung to the Packers. Agree.. Disagree.. thoughts. Just don't pull a Formo.. |

I thought Burnett's second pick was just as important. The 11 minute drive was the turning point in the game. It proved superiority, even behind our porous make-shift O-line. |

Halftime was the turning point. The Packers made adjustments and held Minnesota scoreless in the 2nd half. |

There were a lot of key plays in the game. That is the nature of a close game.
I gotta give the nod to the obvious play with Burnett's pick in the endzone.
They come out after the half and laid an egg. First Crosby kicks the ball out of bounds giving Minny the ball at the 40. Then the defense allows AP to ramble for 48 yards down to the 12.
If Minny scores a TD it is all but over. The pick breathed life into a struggling team. The Crosby FG got them up off their sick bed. The 2nd pick got them out of the house and running. One fed on the other.
MN was only down 6 when Burnett got the 2nd int. Until then I am sure they felt they were going to win the game. That pick sent them reeling and put GB over the top as it took AP out of the game. He didn't run anymore after that.

Burnett's pick in the endzone is my choice. Taking points away from a team just puts that play over the top. |

I wish I hadn't been so drunk, and in a half hour long line to tinkle...I don't remember most of what has been said. |

This guy has it right. MN was well on their way before that pick took the wind out of their sales. I totally agree. I thought he had lost his job when they went to the timeout. Shocked when Crosby and the FG unit came back out, and thrilled that he made the FG. Huge call by McCarthy. Huge. That right there was a very sound coaching move, with your Kicker struggling to epic proportions. McCarthy put his money where his mouth is, and gave Mason Crosby a real chance at redemption. Looks like it paid off. THAT was the turning point, but Morgan Burnett sure sealed the deal. His pick was just what we needed, along with Crosby's kick(s)! Crosby's kick lifted this team out of a serious funk. Burnett's pick was the spark. Figure, Crosby misses that kick, or McCarthy elects instead to go for it on 4th down like he had intimated before the MIN timeout, we could have remained down by 4 points had we not converted. Crosby's kick really changed the momentum. Edited by member Monday, December 3, 2012 11:25:50 AM(UTC)

Crosby was smiling after his last fieldgoal - It's been a long time since I've seen him do that, and a very good sign. Hopefully there's more smiles to come. |

I put it on the INT.
Could be a turning point in the season, depending on what happens from here on out.
Wasn't that first INT on the drive after Arodge threw that ridiculous INT on the flea flicker? Anyway, that INT was a 10 point swing. Absolutely saved the game for us.
Burnett's been close to alot of INTs, hopefully this will start a pattern of actually coming down with them. |

One big turning point was Allen's INT that was taken away by the Roughing the Passer penalty. The Vikes would have been in excellent field position again. |

In terms of impact of play on the game in the x's and o's or scoreboard.. I would go with the pick in the end zone.
But in terms of changing the emotions of the team, when Crosby hit that kick.. it was like a switch flipped for the players. Just seemed to change the intensity of the Packers. |
