GB has been fairly balanced this season. In fact, Rodgers was on pace to throw the fewest passes of the McCarthy era for a single season.

I think GB saw on film that they wouldn't be able to run the ball and gave up on it before the game started. I don't agree with that, but I certainly don't think they'll be this type of offense all season long. I suspect they'll run against Seattle quite a bit.

447:360 - Pass to run ratio the Packers have.

449:388 - Vikings.

436.2:357.1 - NFL average.

Of course, these stats don't include this week's games, due to the week not being completed.

I just wanted to see the actual numbers on this. Packers seem to be around the average.. Meanwhile, the Colts are the most pass heavy team with a 534:327 ratio and Arizona right up there with them with a 489:292 ratio. And the Jets are the most run heavy teams with a 326:473 ratio.

We had tons of yards. Big deal. We scored 36 points. Big deal. Take out the Jennings 80+, the Grant TD, Rodgers scramble and what do you get?

300 yards passing for 2 TD's. That is not good enough passing production. You have to keep passing for play action to work. McCarthy is terrible play calling. He is fine a times a bad at times. And seems to be bad in big games.

GB playcalling had nothing to do with the loss. You need to be looking at mr capers on this one.

I was very disappointed with the defensive alignments yesterday. We used the Psycho too often, and when we really needed to pressure Worthlessburger we kept rushing 3.

I don't get it.

I was disappointed with Crosby again this week as I was the past few weeks. What has happened to the guy this year??? Last year, he was a clutch kicker making field goals left and right. But to miss an almost given FG that couldve won the game??? Come on man!!!! This guy needs to step up his game or Packers need to bring in some competition so they take their jobs more seriously cuz if we go into the playoffs and it comes down to a FG that's gonna win or lose and Crosby misses a chip shot, it's over baby and that goes for Crosby as well.

Why is Josh Bell in man-to-man coverage on that play? Why are we rushing three? Why does Chillar lay Ward out as he comes off the line 4 plays earlier when we made the interception? Why is Crosby unable to hit a field goal anymore(much like Folk)? Why do our receivers drop balls in crucial situations? Why did we constantly have 2-3 linebackers in on the last drive? These are the questions management and the coaches should be trying to answer this week.

If you selectively delete big stats from each game, you will have pretty unimpressive numbers. Every team/player's stats will be bolstered by 1 or 2 big plays, but it doesn't mean you disregard them!

The packers moved the ball effectively in the 2nd half, scored 22 points in the 4th quarter, and handed the defense a very winnable situation. Should the packers run just for the sake of saying 'hey, look...look, we attempted a balenced attack, give us a pat on the back!' The steelers ratio was 46:19, so is their playcaller a hack as well?

Really. I mean you could take 1000 yards off our offense and a bunch of TD's if you take out every big play they make. We have a team that can make big plays and does make big plays so it's no fluke that this happened Sunday.

The offense answered the bell every time and would have again if they had the ball at the end of the game. McCarthy called the game the way he needed to call it. Pittsburgh was scoring at will and as usual were stout against the run. It's one thing when you pass that much and the opposing defense is teeing off on your QB but Rodgers was able to get it out all game long.

This was a game where we absolutely could not afford 3 and outs and the run game would have put the offense in a place where scoring as many points would not have happened in a game where they had to score.

We lost because we didn't get to Ben like they needed to. Period. He needed to be on his back or at least caused to make bad throws way more than he was yesterday.

I am not happy about the defense either, but that isn't the subject of this thread, neither is Mason, or Bush or Bell. It is about McCarthy and his responsibility is scoring points. We scored points but we also left a bunch on the field. Running the ball, scores points 14 in the game including Rodgers. Running the ball opens up the pass with play action, keeping the LBers and SS from dropping deep into the passing lanes. And Running the ball keeps Rodgers from getting killed.

Just because there was some success, does not mean we couldn't have had more. And taking out plays out of the ordinary shows the normal produciton. If Grant runs 8 times for 0 yards, then 1 for 90, he is not a 10 yard per play runner. He is a 0 YPC back that breaks one sometimes.
