Boy o boyo, I don't ever remember # 41 being big in Green Bay.
The last I can remember was Tom Flynn who was a fairly decent safety back in the 80's.

Well, Spencer Havner pretty much made a Packers name for himself with the Finley injury.

Good point!
Old age some times makes the past more memorable.
By the time I can remember Havner I'll be playin cribbage with the ground hogs.

Patrick Dendy, now there's a name I almost forgot. Didn't he go from starting nickel to not making the team the following season?

what about Chris Johnson anybody remember him? he plays for the radiers now and i think is their nickel back and sometimes starts opposite Asumougha (sp?) dude was supposed to be ridiculous with the speed but was just injury prone in GB........and of this signing can never have too many corners!!

It's amazing how that guy has revived his career in Oakland, all of a sudden. I mean, he's still not an amazing corner, but he's a very servicable nickel back.

For a moment I thought Najeh Davenport was 41, but he was 44. Speaking of which, I'm surprised I never heard his name being dropped before Grant started his recent tear. I was always a fan of him when he was in GB, a big bruiser of an RB but still good speed... Also, does kick returns.

Shit, do you think we could still pick him up? I don't seem to remember anything about his blocking or pass catching abilities but it looks like he's been doing alright in Pittsburgh as far as receiving goes. I'd be happy to use him as our #2 RB if he hasn't lost much steam since he was in GB, maybe even compete for the starting job in the offseason. You never know...

From what I've heard he's a huge risk, huge reward type guy. His stats are up because opposite teams target him a lot. He gives up a lot of big plays, but has a knack for getting those INTs too.
