The only way he'd retire as a Packer is if he signed a one day contract with the Packers. How he left, the things he said, I do not see that happening. And I don't care either.

Sharper will get it if people make decisions based off of flashy stats rather than actually watching games. Woodson is hands-down the better player this year, and I can't think of anyone else that should get the POY.

IMO to me there is no comparison to Woodson, Sharper has that one extra TD and a bunch of yards but that is it, Woodson creams him in every other catagory

Sharper:
Tackles Sack PDef Int TD Yards FF REC
54 0.5 13 8 3 355 0 0

Woodson
61 2.0 14 8 2 134 4 1

I couldn't find tackle for loss stats, but i am SURE that he owns Sharper in that area.

Here is a pretty good article:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/307111-charles-in-charge-5-reasons-charles-woodson-is-dpoy

His 11 take aways (seven interceptions and four fumbles) are far and away the most in the NFL. In fact, no one else in the top 10 in interceptions has even forced more than one fumble. Likewise no one in the top 10 in fumbles has more than two interceptions EXCEPT Woodson.

Sharper is 'sexier'...he has big stats, on a 13-0 team, and some big highlight real plays that have caught a lot of attention.

I don't know who votes on these things, but unfortunately 'sexy' can be quite persuasive relative to the intangibles that Woodson produces every day which can't show up on a stat sheet, and consequently are mainly noticed only by people who watch the packers each week.

Sanders never got beat, have you any football knowledge? No QB ever threw his way, he completely shut down his side of the field.

I agree with you on Sharper though.

Sharper is a great center fielder, but there is no comparison. Woodson does so much more for this defense than Sharper does. Woodson forces fumbles, makes big time tackles, picks the ball off, and pressures the QB.

He's the best defensive back in football this season IMO. He has a real good shot at player of the year.

Matthews should be the NFC defensive rookie of the year, but I think Cushing will win the NFL defensive rookie of the year. Cushing should go to the Pro Bowl. He's been that good this season.

Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
