The problem isn't that this gets turned into a "TT hate" thread, it's whats used to back that hate. Like saying he's concerned with his "fame".
I haven't seen ONE thing that would point to that.
If you want to hate the guy, go ahead. But don't make up stuff and act like it's factually based.
Just say " I HATE Ted Thompson AND WANT HIM GONE!"
Thats factually based then.

I would love to see Tony as the HC in Green Bay but i don't see Ted Thompson bringing in any big name coach because once again it would take away from his fame.

How big was Wolf's ego, He brought in an even lesser known HC. Holmgren had 5 years NFL experience as a QB coach. McCarthy had 13 years NFL coaching including QB coaching and OC.

This fame angle is about as weak as they come.

I HATE Favre Firsters AND I WANT THEM GONE!!

Yeah, it does kinda make me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
Cheers Cheesey

Back on topic:
Dungy would RULE as a head coach. Unfortunately, he did retire. If he were to come back, I would have no issues with him leading this team as a HC, not so sure about GM.

You want to finish your career here?
Favre: "Definitely. If in two years, say, they want to trade me, I'd probably walk away. Retire."

millertime- I award you +1 for posting this because I will be completely honest and say that I was wanting so bad to post Dungy's name in the Holmgren/Cowher post but was not able to put a legit post together and wasn't ready to discuss why I thought it was the best route.

Dungy> the other guys (even though their are a lot of good names listed).

You make sense in your post and this guy is an AMAZING coach.

I am not calling for MM's head.....yet.

THREAD SUMMARY so far:

Tony Dungy may be retired but we have already seen certain NFL personas retire then decide to unretire. He's probably a bit more decisive than Brett "Waffle" Favre who can't decide what he wants to do. Besides, McCarthy may suck and needs to go but Ted Thompson is such an ego-maniac that he wouldn't dream of hiring someone with as much class and talent as Dungy.

Did I manage to bash everyone yet? Oh, wait, The O-Line sucks and someone needs to do something about it....Dungy would do it.

There, I think that will do it. I think I'm going to make a copy of this post....should be useful at least once a week and then I don't have to type it all again (<----insert HEAVY sarcasm here if it isn't apparent) ๐Ÿ˜‰

I HATE "NAME LABELERS" AND I WANT THEM GONE!!!!!!

Everyone is right, I feel much better.

Of course if I got my wish, there would not be many to talk to around here!!!!!

Dungy as a CEO?? Might get him out of retirement, doubt it though he has that cushy TV job now.

4 must win games coming, there are going to be many nervous people if The Pack lays an egg the next few weeks.

I have been all over Mike McCarthy for his play calling, but if you read another thread, seems Aaron Rodgers is being a little bit stubborn about making a change.

I don't know anymore, does Ted Thompson really have control of what is going on? I guess we will see in the next few weeks.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

what is funny why doesn't anyone bring up Junior Seau seeing he now has come out of retiremement what 4 times now. But back to my comment i said the fame thing is because Ted Thompson is building the team as his team thus i believe the reason you don't see the big name free agents signed. I used to compare Ted Thompson and Jerry Reinsdorf and i believe it is a great comparision.

I would love to see Dungy in charge of everything. I for one am against the Likes of Sanahan and Holmgren, I want someone that will spit fire and call his team out if they mess up. I say lets trade some draft picks for Singletary ๐Ÿ™‚

dfosterf (19-Apr) : Put him at right guard. That is where he will be coached. That is where he will compete. He is not even allowed to look at the LT playbook.

beast (5-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft has been an offensive player since 2017, 2 TE, 2 WR, 1 RB, 1 OC
Mucky Tundra (5-Apr) : Odd, why give up a 2025 2nd Rounder for him if you're just gonna let him walk?
