Is it horrible to have a positive attitude towards the ending of a holdout in a area of need on the team?

And you really don't consider a defensive lineman as a potential game changing position? Like Greg stated, there are many defensive lineman in the game today and of days gone by that have made game changing impacts..

Do we know if Raji is that type of player.. nope.. but how come you choose the pessimistic side in every debate?

We're not Viking fans, we don't talk about Super Bowls in August. We start talking Super Bowl only when we are actually in the playoffs.

We're excited because we recognize this guy as a very important role player to possibly a very good defense. It's all conjecture right now anyway, there O pisser on Cherios.

The more I think about this contract, the more it pisses me off to think Raji will make over $18 million guaranteed . . . regardless of whether he ever plays a single down in the NFL! I firmly believe that if players can lobby to renegotiate their contracts for outperforming their rookie pay, then teams should be able to renegotiate contracts for underperformance. If Raji earns that money, great; but if he doesn't, I find it unconscionable that the team will have to pay him anyway (see Harrell, Justin). Yes, players and agents will argue, but teams can cut players at any time. But that is only partially true. Cutting a player at an unpropitious time creates serious salary-cap ramifications for the team, which disincentizes teams from cutting expensive players. I can imagine many situations in which a team might not want to outright cut a player but would instead rather pay him commensurate with his actual performance.

There should be some minimum positive outlook post requirement before bitching is authorized.

Yes, I'm talking to you, David.

Ok wait a minute here, i might be wrong but i swear Raji was playing DE in the OTA's so how is he all of a sudden the NT? I'm not sold on this guy and haven't even before the draft. I think he benefited from playing along side another good DT in Brace. Together they were great but how are they separated, i guess we will find out. Call me gun shy but our last DT that was drafted in the 1st round hasn't worked out to well. Yes i wanted Crabtree but next i think we should have went o-line.

Then again, David, had we drafted Crabtree, we'd still be waiting on our first-round pick to report -- and be concerned about his injury status to boot. So I guess you have to pick your poison.

Could the Packers have helped it if there was a run on OT ahead of them.. Michael Oher was the only one left worthy of the selection while arguably the best Dlineman was staring them in the face..

Am I sold on Raji.. nope, but looking at his speed and agility inside as a 4-3 tackle gives me hope for him on the edge in the 3-4... and his girth gives me hope for him at NT.

He has the tools, can he bring them or can we properly draw them out and utilize them will be the question.

Color me the cynic, but I think regardless of whom we drafted at 9 past Crabtree, you were going to hold a grudge.

You cite Harrell as the reason for passing on Raji.. my gosh man, is every first round d lineman off limits then?

You love to argue and take the "dark" angle to every discussion to stir it up.. even if you really don't believe it fully.

Finally got at least a part of a post I can support 100%

You take your f#cking Crybabytree/crotchtree/Crabdouche/towannabetree/divaprickmorontree/etc. etc. etc. and go watch him play. That j#rkoff was instrumental in causing this grief. You couldn't spot nfl talent if it friggin' tackled you, for cripes sake.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Edit-- ...And I waited to call Raji a fatass until after he signed, specifically, this thread. so I got that goin' for me... :thumbleft:
