Whats sad is it seems he wants to play. How many people have we seen that have the chance, and blow it because once they get to the NFL, all they want to do is collect a big paycheck.

That's my biggest problem as well. We give him a lot of crap here, but he does seem to be motvated to play. He's been through 2 years and going into this third and he has barely played, has most likely been in pain all the time and had countless of rehabs and surgeries on his back, all to play in the NFL, most likely to find out that his body can't take the beating. It really is a shame.

I'm still hoping that some kind of miracle will happen and that he runs onto the field healthy for a couple of season. That'd make for a sick D-line rotation as well. I guess that that's more wishfull thinking than anything else, though.

I can only feel so sorry for the guy, though. Admittedly, it's unfortunate his talent has gone to waste, but it's not like he has to refund the money he's made. Even if he "only" rakes in $400,000 this year, that's more than I will make in the next ten years combined. He can start himself a business, become a professional poker player, or pay his way through grad school. Either way, he has plenty of options remaining for life.

haha yeah, hard to feel TOO sorry for a guy that has or should have at least a few million saved up in the bank for more coming. If I feel incredibly sorry for him, then I'd hate to think about what I must feel about myself! =)

But it is unfortunate truly. But what can you do?

I feel sorry for myself and the rest of you boys. We were suppose to be watching a dominent rotation of beef on the D-line. Now were left with the likes of Alfred Malone and Mike Montgomery logging time.

I think Raji is going to be getting a Crazy Al contract sooner than later.

No. I hope Ted Thompson holds his line, no matter what our line situation looks like. If Raji gets a monster contract simply because we're feeling desperate, more players will feel incentized to gamble on the possibility of injury in the future. I'd rather Ted Thompson bring in relative unknowns, as he did with Stryker, than overpay the likes of B.J. Raji.

Yeah but the likes of BJ Raji is a top ten pick who we drafted to make our D work. When Sterling held out the night before opening day, he had extreme leverage. One more injury on the Dline, Raji is going to have extreme leverage as well.

Don't get me wrong, I understand what is at stake here, but I don't want our D to look like dog shit over a few million which we have banked up.

There are two people I'd like kick in the nuts right now. Crazy Al and Michael Crabtree. And I'm putting on my steel toes too.

Yes yes yes! I know this system is messed up, but like hell Al David didn't make it 10 times worse than it was going to be this season. What a freaking idiot. If this Stryker guys ends up being awesome though, then maybe I will calm down.
