Best tight end in the draft. He will undoubtly go in the first round. He is good at being a receiving TE and being a blocking TE according to Mike Mayock.

It's very unlikely we will get him, but I wouldn't mind it if we somehow ended up with him on our roster.

Thoughts?

We don't need to spend a first round pick on TE. I feel we are secure enough in this position to not waste a 1st on a TE.

I like him a lot, but the team has more pressing needs right now.

Remember this name someplace in the Draft.. Bear Pascoe.. dude is a monster at TE.. decent hands.. not real fast but a huge target.

Another name of interest.. Chase Coffman.. Paul's son.. played well at Mizzou. Born to be a Packer?

Chase is 6'6" 245.. caught 90 balls with a 11 ypc average.. and 10 TD's.. round two or three?

Bear will go later in the draft IMO, but he would bring a physical element to the game..

6'5" 265.. Strong as an ox.. seen him play against Wisconsin this year and was impressed.. physical player.. intimidating even.

Southern Mississippi eh.. I could handle the sounds of this kid.. more I look at this class of TE.. the more impressive it is.

The player of the day had to be Southern Mississippi TE Shawn Nelson. Nelson is a long, angular tight end prospect who looks like a thin tackle when he is asked to block. He displayed great feet and lateral mobility on the edge and had enough power to knock MLB Rey Maualuga off balance and drive him to the ground. During the passing phase of practice, Nelson was consistently able to separate down the field and create big plays by plucking balls away form his body. He has been even more impressive than Oklahoma State TE Brandon Pettigrew and with a strong week could be headed straight for the first round.
