Because we have a draft thread, I'm having difficulty conveying my superior theory for world domination. You see, Pack93z has a draft thread for linemen going in the-of all things- draft thread. I have this free agent thing going on Let's talk Green Bay Packers thread. We need to able to integrate our frustrations, at least temporarily. I advocate that we be allowed to talk about the draft if we stick to needs on the general Green Bay Packers thread, again, at least temporarily. The primary reason I advocate this is because it would offer a more seamless methodology for us to solve the world's problems without having to switch from the highly geequalized world of the draft thread to the "main" one, and back-forth, etc. 99 44/100 don't even read the draft thread, and thus are not subjected to my absolutely brilliant solutions to all of the Green Bay Packers woes... before you laugh at that statement, you need to know that my buddy Max totally agreees with me, even as I type this... I guess I should also mention that Max is my dog, but nevertheless, he does agree.
 What do OH too, the pack and porky have to say about that?

Duke Robinson looks like the perfect pick for Ted; injured, out of shape and not very comitted to the game.

Seriously, go look into this guy. I would be very interested to see if you want to hang with that commentary...absolutely not a dig, here... just do it if you get the time and let us know your opinion.

Aside from Justin Harrell I think Thompson has done a nice job of finding players in the draft who want to play and who love to play.

I'll be very disappointed if the Packers don't take a lineman in round 1 unless it's a back like Knowshon Moreno or receiver like Michael Crabtree. Beyond that though, lineman has to be the pick even if he isn't No. 1 on the board.

Albert Haynesworth is the the guy you go for. GB has the cap and I'd make him the highest paid defensive player ever. Think of the wonders he would do for the defense. He can stop the run and he can rush the passer. It takes two guys to defend him and that opens the door for Aaron Kampman. You upgrade your team everywhere on defense with that type of a signing in my opinion.

Like most people though, I don't believe Thompson has the stones to make that move.

This would be my signing of the decade, also. Here's the rub. Our own FA's, especially Tramon... that one is gonna be a bitch, imo.

I read the ProFootball weekly comentary above that they wrote for each player. He didn't sound very impressive to me.
He could pose a dilemma for any GM as his size and power could be very impressive.......... when he feels like playing.

And bingo.....he sounds like Teds 1st round pick that can't seem to find the field but his enormous potential might come cheap.

Ted has drafted pretty well over all but the Harrell pick really sticks in my craw. I'd hate to see him repeat that mistake.

I don't think Ted is self destructive and I think he knows that if his team lays another egg next year his job is on the line.
Haynesworth could be the lifepreserver to save him.

I won't hold my breath though.

I agree about the Harrell pick sticking in the craw,,,but I admit I am an impatient fellow.

Here is another view:

(No way this is debatable? I say it definitely IS!)

From Walterfootball.com

Duke Robinson, Oklahoma
Height: 6-5. Weight: 330.
Projected 40 Time: 5.28.
Projected Round (2009): Top 25 Pick.

11/20/08: Still the elite guard in this class by a wide distance. He could go in the top 15 if a team needs a guard.

5/25/08: Duke Robinson has emerged as the consensus top 2009 guard. He nearly came out a year early, which is extremely rare for a guard.

2007: Duke Robinson, who looks extremely fit for a 330-pound lineman, is a complete guard and is basically dominating everyone put in front of him.

Herman Johnson, LSU
Height: 6-7. Weight: 349.
Projected 40 Time: 5.45.
Projected Round (2009): 2.
11/2/08: Just like Duke Robinson is the No. 1 guard by a long shot, Herman Johnson is second by a large distance. He won't go in the first round, but he's a second-round lock right now.

10/25/08: Herman Johnson, a member of the All-SEC first team, has made 26 consecutive starts. If it wasn't for a certain guard from Oklahoma, this would be the pick on most NFL teams in the first round.

2007: There aren't too many football players on any level who are bigger than Herman Johnson. The monstrous guard took over for Will Arnold in the middle of the 2006 season and never looked back, starting the final eight games of the year.

dfosterf (27-Mar) : Does anyone know what Lambeau field improvements got put on hold? My guess would be for the 2025 draft
Zero2Cool (27-Mar) : It's like listen, you made 4,201 mocks, no shit.
Zero2Cool (27-Mar) : Cuz during the draft "I had them mocked there!" as if it's amazing.
Zero2Cool (27-Mar) : They're fun to do once in awhile. It's people who think they are "content" that annoy me.
dfosterf (27-Mar) : Against tbd
dfosterf (27-Mar) : Answer to your question is yes, it's a Thursday, will be the Chiefs aga
dfosterf (27-Mar) : Luckily for all concerned, I don't post them. I did one, but that was like 25 mocks ago

dfosterf (27-Mar) : I'm gonna go do some more mock draft hell instead 🤪
Zero2Cool (27-Mar) : Did we do one of those prediction threads yet for 2024 season?
dfosterf (27-Mar) : In my city, they are playing the nimby game, in order to keep some railroad tracks vs. 2 professional sports teams and a concert venue.
dfosterf (27-Mar) : And/Or a city council, of which I haven't seen a good one in a very long time
dfosterf (27-Mar) : That sounds like a Mayor, not a city.
buckeyepackfan (26-Mar) : Packers halt scheduled 80mil upgrade of stadium until lease agreement talks are restarted
Zero2Cool (26-Mar) : City of Green Bay puts Packers' Lambeau Field lease talks on hold

Zero2Cool (25-Mar) : Gutekunst said early stages of Jordan Love contract being discussed.
Zero2Cool (25-Mar) : Shouldn't be penalized cuz official screwed up
Zero2Cool (25-Mar) : Yeah, challenge until you are incorrect twice.
Zero2Cool (25-Mar) : Fining them is the goal, per the people who made the rule anyway.
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Still waiting on the kickoff rule changes. Did hear yesterday that the touchback proposal will now be the 30 yard line, not the 35
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Probably speed of game issues with your proposal
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Hopefully the refs don't get in the habit of throwing flags on this
beast (25-Mar) : I think when it comes to Challenges should get two strikes, so unlimited challenges as long as they keep winning them, but 2 wrong then done
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Still subject to the fines etc
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Yes, I should have been more specific. Also, they are now saying it would be a 15 yard penalty. That makes more sense .
