I don't think this article is in the right section since it's predominately about Rodgers. I know it'll be technically offtopic in the Brett Favre subforum, but I'd like to focus on a thought about Rodgers if I may:

In regards to the article, I get a bit of a feeling Rodgers is being a bit wily, but in a good way. He's portraying the role of the consummate professional, the QB the team can rally around and believe in, even though he's realistically still very green. Honestly I don't know if the Favre fiasco affected him as little as he made it out to be, or whether he fully apportions blame upon himself for losses, either. But he's my definition of an even keel approach, at least portrayed outwardly. And I'm sure everyone agrees that Rodgers is one of the most scrutinised first year starters, possibly ever.

Because of his demeanour, I expect the first few years to be a rather easy transition - even though his physical skills and experience has yet to match his cerebral approach to the game, the fact that he can say the right things is reassuring that he'll improve in those other areas over time, when he'll truly earn the title of the locker room leader, a media darling, and our franchise QB.

This is why I often mention that Rodgers will be a force to be reckoned with in a few seasons time - he's already got his head screwed on right, just needs the experience now.

I think a lot of Brett Favre's fans had a harder time putting the blame on Favre, than he did accepting it.

Why is whenever there is an article criticizing Brett Favre it's a shameless attempt to destroy his legacy with the Packers?

The article wasn't even about Favre. It was about Aaron Rodgers and him accepting responsibility for his mistakes. That is something Favre didn't do all that much. It's not a big deal. A lot of players haven't and a lot more players never will. I still think Rodgers has a lot to learn and a lot to take into account that Favre has done. This is something that he probably did on his own because that's probably the just the type of person he is.

I've got to disagree w/ you here cheesey, if you'll recall, the intercepted passes in both the OT playoff losses were due to the reciever being out of position or not where he thought they'd be, that's not exactly taking blame.

Fact is, he took blame alot of the time when things went bad. I just meant that SOME people NEVER take the blame when something goes wrong.
Favre to me at least took blame when he knew he messed up.

There were many times where our Brett referred to an interception being thrown because he and the receiver were not on the same page or he thought the receiver was supposed to this instead of that. I don't know that should be considered pushing the blame off. I feel that's more so Brett being bluntly honest with his opinion.

What is amazing... is this.

After week 11.

Aaron and Brett are 5th and 6th respectfully, in NFL Passer Rating.

Aaron 5th- 94.5

Brett 6th- 93.0

And the forgotten man in the fiasco last year is former Jet Starter Chad.

Chad 7th- 92.8

This is what made me laugh at Bradshaw's little tirade.. it isn't the QB's on this team that is making the difference.. look no further than the yard per carry we have been giving up on the ground.. add to it offensive line struggles again this year..

So far.. it is a win, win, win for all three teams.. we get a bonus additional first day pick to boot.

Now.. is that all worth the way the Brett saga went down.. no.. but after everything is said and done.. looks like all three QB in that little game have done well... and so has there teams.

For as bad as the situation looked a one point.. all turned out pretty well.. I for one hope Brett takes the Jets a long ways this postseason.. and as he has always done.. he has raised the level of play for his team.. regardless of stats.

But Rodgers is doing just fine.. and I am happy for Pennington.. escaping NY was just what that kid needed.
