What is bothering me about Rodgers is that he seems to be irritated by the call after every single play. He makes faces, gestures, hands up, he is also unhappy about the use of timeouts. I'm perplexed Mike McCarthy is not making this stop, Rodgers can be the best player in the league but that doesn't mean he has the right to be a PITA to his coach.
In the middle of the game against the Lions there was a play he could have run for 15-20 yards and instead overthrew Adams, he went to the sidelines and started complaining. I would have benched him for a series at this point, just to send the right message to the team, everybody is accountable and if you are not happy about something you can discuss it in the team meetings and not in front of the cameras.

We need some discipline.

Perhaps he's simply pissed off at himself for not making the play? I think you're making a lot of assumptions here unless you know for sure what Rodgers is saying. Do you?

People slam the guy for not showing enough emotion and then slam him for showing some. We all want him to perfect, I get it, but the reality is that he isn't and he has his flaws just like you and me. I don't see why he has to act happy about his and others poor performances on camera. There's nothing wrong with being pissed off at that point. The cameras are on for the entire game. Are you suggesting he not discuss any important or heated aspects during the game and only in team meetings? That makes no sense.

You can discuss things without throwing tablets or making gestures to call timeouts, and worst is that Rodgers is doing that while playing really bad.

We need a shift of emotion, Rodgers needs to be cool, and Mike McCarthy needs to be fired up.

Lots of QBs can be a "PITA" to their coaches. But I guarantee Mike McCarthy wouldn't trade those minor pains for anything. McCarthy wouldn't even have this job anymore if not for Aaron Rodgers.

You call them "tantrums" and I say that's impossible to know without knowing what was said and the emotion on the field. I think it's funny how much Aaron's signs of frustration bother people. Of course Rodgers is frustrated both at his play AND the play of most of his teammates. The guy isn't used to losing, and I have no doubt it eats him up inside. But any opinion that can be formed without knowing what was actually said and the dynamics of the situation are pure conjecture. For all we know, Rodgers could often be cursing himself for screwing up.
