Tight end is definitely a weak area on our team. Fortunately, we have a more than excellent wide receiver corp. Our tight ends only need to be able to catch those 3rd option wide open passes and block their asses off. I don't see us finding a Jimmy Graham anytime soon.

Quarless will start, hopefully Rodgers catches on fast. However, rookie TE's RARELY perform well.

This article in headlines

"That likely means that barring injury between now and Sept. 4, the Packers will open the regular season with JC Tretter as their starting center, rookie Richard Rodgers as their starting tight end and Micah Hyde at free safety. All three have started each of the first two preseason games, and all three were in those same spots on Monday and Tuesday."

It does go on to say:

"That does not mean there won't be some variety from play to play or series to series. McCarthy has multiple personnel groups on offense just as coordinator Dom Capers does with his defense. For example, the Packers will use more than one tight end. And on defense, first-round pick Ha Ha Clinton-Dix will play some safety when Hyde moves to the slot cornerback in some sub packages."

Looks like Rodgers is going to buck the trend, Bostics injury gave him his opening and he has taken advantage.

I think Quarless gets the most snaps and the most throws his way. Hopefully Rodgers gains the confidence of the other Rodgers, and reaches a point where he is an offensive weapon too. Taylor gets a few snaps; Bostick and Stoneburner battle for what's left - I favor Stoneburner. We'll see, I guess. I don't think any of them get cut, though.
