And I would bet they would have some sort of tracking on them. I don't understand why they killed it instead of using a tranquiler and move it.

If you wanted coyotes, ND could mail you a bunch. Those things grow like rats around here.

heck NO!. We have to many of them beasties already. I hear them out in the field behind my house all the time. This Spring they were sneaking up an my wife and I when we where sitting outside by our fire pit around 8 pm. The sun was just starting to creep over the horizon.

These are not they types of things the DNR does in secret. If they released these animals it would have been a big deal.

Move these cats where? There are too many of them. In California, they attack hikers because we have moved into their territories. When these perfect predators start roaming around farming communities, then it is time for people to start shooting them again. They haven't been on the endangered species list for a while now.

They belong in low populated regions where there are not a lot of people.

That said it is no secret that populations of many animals are expanding. Mountain lions, wolves and coyotes are just two examples. One or two sightings over several years may be chalked up to escaped captive animals or possibly even mistakes but when sighting become more and more common it is likely that the reason is because an animal has moved into the area. Frankly I'm fine with it. If you want squirrels, rats and pigeons as your only wildlife move to the city.

That's usually where they are but when people start moving into those low populated regions they become...well...they become not so low populated any more. That is usually when the trouble starts.

I know. It probably would not be discussed here and in other corners if it wasn't such a rare event. Keep in mind the cats have wandered into the cities as well. They will continue to take them down one by one as they are found in areas deemed a threat to people and their animals.
