I voted yes; if we can get a good DE for him I say yes.
I dont want to be like last year and have one of our main DEs get injured and then our line suffers. I dont think montgomery or wynn are big enough yet to fill the role of a solid DE in our 3-4.

maybe u guys are right - ya I would be unhappy if spitz went down. We would have the musical offensive line like last year (which didnt work out good) - rodgers sacked 34 times

Anyway, Wells is kinda pricy for a back-up center. I guess that he does have added value, as Spitz could move to guard and Wells could start at center again. With Wells, we have all the interior line spots covered, with a little moving around.

Trading Wells would be a bad idea, unless there was a ridiculous offer on the table. Versatility is king for backup players and Wells being able to step in at two positions is very useful.
