The last time 4 punters were drafted the same year, 5 qb's were drafted in the 1st rnd.

So it is a trend.😂😂

FG team struggled at times due to injuries at LS.
I really don't think Vogels punting is in question, but if Scott can match him in punting competition and proves to be a more reliable holder then he will win the job.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

Nobody is gonna trade for a punter.

The bottom line here is competition. It looks like he's a good holder too, which Crosby desperately needs.

If he doesn't pan out, well, at least Gute didn't waste picks trading up to grab him.

I'm just fine with this pick as long as he turns out to be a very good or better punter. If he flops or is just average, this will be a horrible pick. As always, it comes down to how good the player is. Most draft picks are justified if the player turns out to be very good.

My son was freaking out over this pick. He thinks Vogel is fine.

It's nice to have a roster that is more or less complete. With all those late round picks, most of them won't make the team. Why not invest a pick in a punter (or long snapper)? They have a better chance of contributing than the 8th WR.

Past performance is a Punters resume'. Scott simply is a more talented Punter than Vogel. Vogel will move on to another team in need as Scott settles into his new job.

In the end, Vogel got a look from Cleveland in the offseason but ended up spending the season as a free agent. Whether Scott was a significant upgrade over Vogel is debatable, but it's clear no other team was clamoring for Vogel's services.

Even if GB doesn't want Vogel I don't see why another team doesn't. His 41.6 net is 8th best this year. Cleveland's punter avg is only 38.

Maybe he doesn't audition well? Some people have a tendency to lock up when they're trying out for a big gig. Of course, there is always the possibility of personality issues to which the public isn't privy. Sometimes it doesn't matter how good you are at your job if the chemistry isn't there.

Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
