If we get the Raji of late 2010, it'll be fine. But will we get that Raji or the other one, the one that only needs the attention of one OL?

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm hoping for Jolly to have a Comeback-Player-of-the-Year-type year.

None of the above. It wouldn't have been a wasted vote. Obama and Romney -- Those were the wasted votes.

I meant that group for 3rd and long, where you expect them to pass the ball more than run it.

But it would be interesting to see Pickett in the middle of that when teams are more likely to run it.

I think Raji will be fine. Last year there was no supporting cast on the line. The coaches are on record saying he had a good year last year. So I'm guessing he was double and triple teamed a lot because the only other player they had to worry about was Clay. Opponents didn't have to worry about anyone else on the DL. Hopefully Jones, Jolly and Daniels can change that. But you are correct, we need to be strong up the middle both on the run and passing plays. Also this is Raji's contract year so there should be motivation from that.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

PackerTraxx, I do believe the additions of Datone Jones, Josh Boyd and Johnny Jolly will transform the DL entirely, and will augment the performances of both Raji and Pickett. We're going to see much better line play on D this year. Where Neal fits in there, I don't know. But, I'm sure he'll be used more as a situational pass rusher if he's on the line.

I'm really intrigued by Neal working with the LBs. This could be really good.

I remember when the Vikings had John Randle and AL Noga. They were small quick linemen. They were very disruptive. Randle was 280 and Noga was 260.

Neal seemed to struggle in coverage last night. This will definitely be a work in progress.

I will temper my response until I see it translate on film. Saw him in nickel getting a double team once and thought he commanded that pretty well. It didn't have any effect on pass rush though because we sent pretty much everyone into coverage.

I really wonder if he will make this team. I'm not buying he is the greatest thing since sliced bread thing. I think he might find himself the odd man out.

Is there a real need for him at LB or on DL? I wonder... Maybe this is more last ditch effort?

You sure don't hear his name much as far as plays made. I believe the only one I can recall, at least I think it was him, against the Rams was a nice job of stringing the play out.

And now we all know why Mike Neal is playing outside linebacker, which is Clay Matthews gets to play middle linebacker and spy on Russell Wilson.
