I haven't heard much, if anything about Game of Thrones. Nick's funeral opened with the theme/intro song. When I got home I YouTube'd it and thought it was an interesting video. I purchased both season 1 and 2. It wasn't until this past weekend that I started watching them. It seems like a decent series, although it seems very slowly developed. I also learned quick to grab onto the story, not characters. I've purchased the released 8 episodes of season 3. I'm up to episode 7 now. Up to this point, I was less than thrilled with the amount of nudity which seemed unnecessary to drive home the point. As I said, up to this point ... the point in which I seen Ygritte (Rose Leslie) for the first time and thought "ya we need a nude scene right bout now".

This is one of the prettiest faces I have ever seen.

As for the series. It's good, slow moving, but good.

I personally don't watch programs like this to see 'stuff' and ya a bit off putting to my wife too when its scene after scene of boobies

If they toned down the nudity and done it more tastefully, cut out the four letter usage, this could be an even bigger hit on a national broadcast and netted them more money.

Game of Thrones is a very, very dark show. I know all fantasy inevitably compares to Lord of the Rings, but LOTR has a lighter side, despite the apocalyptic ramifications.

GOT is based on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series. I haven't read the books, though I own the first two. I understand they're very graphic and the show's producers are faithful to the original work. Martin also writes one episode per year.

I'm enjoying season three. There are a lot of moving parts, but the Khaleesi's storyline has been enjoyable. Her character has come along ways since the first episode. The only thing I haven't enjoyed is Theon's storyline, which hasn't gone anywhere since the first episode. The nudity or language doesn't bother me. It's like putting on a Bear game and watching Jay Cutler throw a pick. You dive in expecting it.

For what it’s worth, episode nine is the big episode each year. Last year was the big battle, and the year before that was Baelor. All I know is there’s a game changer similar to season one that’s going to happen next week.
