Like the article states, it's most likely one 4th round pick for Flynn, with Wells and Saturday cancelling eachother out.

Next year we could very well get a 3rd and a 5th for Jennings and Walden, respectively.

They can't.

What about 5th and 7th for Jones and Crabtree?

No one knows exactly how these picks get awarded, but this much is known.

They go by how big a contract the player leaving your team signed, minus the free agents your team has signed. The FA your teams signed scratch away the leaving player with the same salary, if that's not possible with a lower salary, and if that's not possible with a higher salary.

Players who barely make any money (relatively, of course) don't get compensated for.

A 7th for Crabtree is quite possible, though.

Brad Jones hasn't yet signed with anyone, for as far as I know, so you can't really say anything about that just yet.

Right now it'd look like:

3rd (for Jennings)
5th (for Walden)
7th (for Crabtree)

And that, of course, is if we don't sign anyone, ourselves.

Which will allow Ted to take our regular picks and trade back until he has every pick of round 7.
