Wow, excellent point! Plus their QB is coming off an injury too. I don't know the injury, but that's never a good thing.

I can't believe I actually spaced out they lost Mario Williams, then again, they did do fairly well without him too.

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I'm really confused here, what did I miss with the Texans? They lost their 2 best defensive players and their offense is ok but not great. Why does it seem like everyone has us losing to them?

I based it on:
1 GB losing some games on the road. It seems as likely a spot for an upset as any other one.
2 it is the 2nd game in a 3 game road trip.
3 Night game so they are off their routine a little.
4 Playing in the State of Texas has always been a bit of a struggle for the Packers.
5 They may relax a tiny bit because it is an AFC team and thus the game may not be as critical as playing a division opponent or one of the contenders for the NFC best record.
6 There are always upsets somewhere this could be one of them.
7 Who the hell knows. I don't even know who is going to be on the GB team. Starters from this past year's team could pull a hammy or get a hang nail. This is early (now mid) April and we are killing time until next weekend. The real predictions will be in Aug so chill out.

I'll go 14-2.
Ted will have greatly improved the defense via FA and the draft into the top 5.
Green Bay Loses to the 49ers at home and away at Detroit.
Beat the Ravens in the Super Bowl.

Gawd, I can't wait for the season to begin.

I reserve the right to change my predictions after the draft.

At this point I see The Packers falling back this year. O-line has 2 big holes to fill. I am not sold on Saturday replacing Wells, and LT is a ?. Packers start playing "musical chairs" with their O-line that spells trouble for Aaron Rodgers.

Running game is another area, at this point, IMHO will take a step or 2 back. Ryan Grant leaving?, right now I think it's about a 50/50 chance he stays. James Starkes hasn'rt proved he can stay healthy and carry the load, Alex Green is coming back from injury, big ? there, although Brandon Saine showed some promise, I believe he was forced, because of injury, to play before he was 100% ready.

D-Line has been adressed in Fa, but is it really going to get better with the new faces?

JMO but looking at the schedule, at this time, I see The Packers finishing 9-7, missing the playoffs.

Home (6 -2)

W - San Francisco 49ers
L - Chicago Bears
W- New Orleans Saints
W - Jacksonville Jaguars
W - Arizona Cardinals
W - Minnesota Vikings
L - Detroit Lions
W - Tennessee Titans

Away (3-5)

■L - Seattle Seahawks
W - Indianapolis Colts
L - Houston Texans
W - St. Louis Rams
L - Detroit Lions
L - New York Giants
L - Chicago Bears
W - Minnesota Vikings

Again I reserve the right to make a few changes after the draft, want to see which direction Ted goes this year.

Ted was busy in this years draft, Hitting on position of needs the 1st 4 picks.
As it is at this time every year there is hope that the rookies will come in and give an immediate upgrade.

Perry has the best chance to start.

Worthy and Daniels should get some rotation work, but don't see them as 1st year starters.

I like the Hayward and Mcmillian picks, but don't see either making a big splash the first year.

Coleman and Datko are PS players, which is not to say they are bad picks, just good projects.

That leaves Manning, every year there seems to be a surprise guy, I'm hoping Manning is this years surprise.

Although I liked the draft, can't see where it helps The Packers fill their Offensive needs created by Ted himself by releasing Clifton and not resigning Wells.

Now I'm reading reports that Driver is on the outs, another veteran leader that talent wise can probably be replaced but what he brings in leadership and other intangibles will be sorely missed if it is true he is gone.

No rb's drafted? Duane Bennet(min) was signed as UDFA as was Mark Tyler(usc), neither will have an impact unless the injury bug hits The Packer rb's.

Defense may have been helped in draft, but offense still has it''s glaring holes.

I'll stick with 9-7, missing the playoffs.

Buckeye - Cliffy already was getting beat pretty badly. He was a Pro Bowler in 2010 and deservedly so. In 2011, he was quite average. Age isn't fair. It hits us all very fast, especially athletes.

Wells may be a mistake. We got Saturday as a stop gap for the 2012 and possibly 2013 season. The guy replacing Wells for 2014 isn't on the team yet. Saturday is still quite good, so it's not like we're doomed on the OL.

Our OL I'm betting will be rated as average in 2012. Would I like it better? Sure. But let's face facts here. Last year, we had the NFL's #1 O. Last year, we had the NFL's #19 D. What did Uncle Ted need to do? Obviously, fix the D. He did.

2012 > 2011. We may have been a 15-1 team in 2011, but we were a much better team in 2010 with the #6 O and the #2 D.

Play2Win - It's a joke. ObiWan says 19-0 every year. I don't think he posted in this thread yet.

That's funny. I'm serious. My nature is to be an optimist. I am what I am. My wife would tell you I say that every year. 19-0.

With a more solid pass rush alone, I thought we would be a better team than NYG. We appear to have added that and more this offseason. A lot has to go right, but I think it can and will happen. 19-0.

beast (5-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft has been an offensive player since 2017, 2 TE, 2 WR, 1 RB, 1 OC
Mucky Tundra (5-Apr) : Odd, why give up a 2025 2nd Rounder for him if you're just gonna let him walk?
Zero2Cool (4-Apr) : Texans to let Diggs be free agent in '25
buckeyepackfan (4-Apr) : 49r's aign RB Patrick Taylor.
Martha Careful (4-Apr) : Reversion to the mean would indicate we will keep it
Zero2Cool (4-Apr) : It's also been utilized in a trade in 14 of the past 20 years
Zero2Cool (4-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft hasn't been made by it's original holder since 2016.
Mucky Tundra (4-Apr) : Gotta imagine that Green Bay vs Houston will be a primetime game this upcoming season
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : No. Kill QB. No worries. 😁
Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Bills trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Texans in exchange for a 2025 2nd-round pick. (via @rapsheet)
