What a change in his tune? Didnt he tell Peppers to beat the Packers to keep us out of the playoffs? Now he says we will win it all?

Then says he hold no bitterness? Again he told Peppers to beat the Packers, and no bitterness?

LOL!!

Brett Favre may have left Green Bay three years ago, but he's still got the Packers in his heart.

"I think they will win it all! -- Brett Favre on the Packers in an e-mail response to ESPN's Ed Werder

In an e-mail response to ESPN's Ed Werder, Favre said Monday that the Packers are "by far" the best team left in the NFL playoffs.

"[Packers QB] Aaron [Rodgers] is the best QB and the receiving corps is the best ever, maybe," Favre said in the e-mail. "But [defensive coordinator] Dom [Capers] and the defense gets the MVP award at this stage."

Rodgers, who's emergence made Favre expendable in Green Bay before the 2008 season, led the Packers to a dominant 48-21 win over the top-seeded Falcons on Saturday.

Favre officially filed retirement papers with the league Monday after two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and one year with the New York Jets. The 41-year old Mississippi native originally retired in 2008 after the Packers decided to go with Rodgers as their starting quarterback.

However, Favre decided he wanted to return later in the year and was eventually traded to the Jets.

But Favre insisted he holds no grudges against the organization he was with for 16 seasons. (yet wanted the Bears to beat them)

"There is no bitterness. I'm happy for them (yet wanted the Bears to beat them)and very happy and content with my legacy," Favre told Werder.

Favre again chose to retire after the 2008 season, but signed with the rival Vikings in August 2009. Favre's decision alienated many of those Packers fans who once cheered his Lambeau Field heroics.

Still, Favre thinks this is the year for Green Bay to win its first Super Bowl since Favre and the Packers beat the New England Patriots in 1998 in Super Bowl XXXI.

"I think they will win it all! I hope they do, if you are wondering," Favre said in the e-mail

He is trying to get in the good graces of Packer nation now that he is retired, and he doesn't want the fans to hate him, and is trying to heal old wounds by saying this. I don't buy it AT ALL.

See I'm through being bitter. By no means am I trying to separate myself from others -- I totally understand disliking the guy. I just mean to say, honestly, that my feelings of anger have mostly been replaced by sadness. Favre has screwed a lot of things up, in terms of his "legacy" and his good graces with legions of fans who used to worship him. It's mostly on him. I don't mean to deflect blame.

But even in lieu of the emphatic dishonesty in his personal life, I've always tended to find him sincere -- in fact, it's one of his shortcomings. Favre always tells it like he sees it, which is subject to change from day to day.

When I hear him praise Aaron and the receivers and Capers -- yeah, it could just as well be a show -- I tend to believe him. Any bitterness I continue to hold against him is necessarily offset by the fact that I became a Packer fan in large degree to #4.

P.S. Ed Werder -- it was January 31st, 1997. Learn yo shit.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

How could the Packers receiving corps be the "best ever, maybe" when it doesn't even include Randy Moss?

Maybe the brief stint of being Randy Moss' team mate has lit a bulb for him?

Zero2Cool (27-Mar) : It's like listen, you made 4,201 mocks, no shit.
Zero2Cool (27-Mar) : Cuz during the draft "I had them mocked there!" as if it's amazing.
Zero2Cool (27-Mar) : They're fun to do once in awhile. It's people who think they are "content" that annoy me.

dfosterf (27-Mar) : And/Or a city council, of which I haven't seen a good one in a very long time
dfosterf (27-Mar) : That sounds like a Mayor, not a city.
buckeyepackfan (26-Mar) : Packers halt scheduled 80mil upgrade of stadium until lease agreement talks are restarted

Zero2Cool (25-Mar) : Shouldn't be penalized cuz official screwed up
Zero2Cool (25-Mar) : Yeah, challenge until you are incorrect twice.
Zero2Cool (25-Mar) : Fining them is the goal, per the people who made the rule anyway.
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Still waiting on the kickoff rule changes. Did hear yesterday that the touchback proposal will now be the 30 yard line, not the 35
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Probably speed of game issues with your proposal
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Hopefully the refs don't get in the habit of throwing flags on this
beast (25-Mar) : I think when it comes to Challenges should get two strikes, so unlimited challenges as long as they keep winning them, but 2 wrong then done
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Still subject to the fines etc
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Yes, I should have been more specific. Also, they are now saying it would be a 15 yard penalty. That makes more sense .
