Yesterday was a good day in the House of Blondes. Mia reached a milestone we've been waiting for quite a while with her lifelong follow up cancer treatment. She will now only need to have one MRI a year instead of two, and that will be done down at Mayo Clinic in June.

She's been cancer free for several years, with the exception of the thyroid tumor, which ended up being more of a blessing because medication is now regulating her better than her faulty thyroid ever did. But saying she's cancer free doesn't take away the worry her mother and I have. So every six months or so we have to go through this several day worryfest about whether or not any more tumors have grown in her body. And that worry really never goes away, which is why I become an insensitive dickweed at times to what I consider irrelevant problems people are having. I'm trying to work on that a little bit at a time.

Anyway, I thought I'd share this with you guys, especially those of you that have helped me make sense of this huge shitburger we were given.

House of Blonds, sounds like my home. Ha! I got an email the other day from Cambridge (sp) and got me thinking about how she was doing. Glad you gave us an update and keep them coming!









Everyone is permitted to vent here, however, NO ONE is allowed to take out their issues on someone else, EVER. That's just a normal fact of life that respectable people understand.

Cancer is such a horrible, scary disease.
I bet everyone on this site has been touched by that terrible disease. I know it has hit my own family several times.
Give Mia a HUGE HUG for me! I know she doesn't know me, but let her know I care about her!
